If you look in the trailer Kyle is seen shutting the blinds as if he is about to commit suicide. If that’s the case it might be too early for him to be the one in the body bag at New Years
I was kinda worried about this storyline but it is being done absolutely brilliantly, spot on👏
Not sure it has been done brilliantly, because what caused Darren's depression. In this scene the initiation is a chemical imbalance (in which is a myth in the causality of depression) has triggered thus Darren's depression.
Hollyoaks is always really good at handling mental health storylines

Cried all the way through this clip for the men like Darren and Kyle who don't know how where why depression began or who to talk to. They feel fragile and don't want a lecture or a 'man up' speech. If a man confides in you let him talk and don't jump to conclusions. It's taken him a lot to tell you...xxx
Don't worry folks, he will be back to his old tricks soon enough. The way things blow over so quickly in this show is incredible. Some storylines take months and months to develop, but only days for the characters to forget about them 😆

I think Darren won’t be there for Kyle the way Kyle has been there for Darren which will leave Kyle feeling like nobody supports him and he’ll commit suicide. I think Darren and Nancy will feel guilt and grief and they’ll be drawn back together because of it. I think there was also a promo scene that had Mandy telling Darren not to respond to Kyle. This will probably make Darren resent her and maybe even blame her for Kyle’s suicide. This will push him away from Mandy and towards Nancy.
Maybe he's the body bag at new year from the flashforwards? They do like taking a while to build up things. Also, Darren seemed messed up over it too. Maybe the blood on him was from trying to save Kyle, like if he maybe was bleeding through his nose due to drugs.

this is very touching as someone who has battled depression this is so hard to watch but its a important issue that needs to be talked about amazing acting by Ashley Taylor Dawson and Sarah Dunn
I think Kyle was the person who had depression and now Daren has told him now Kyle is getting depression back
This storyline is quite likely going to end badly with Kyle and Nancy splitting and quite likely the same with Darren and Mandy

Honestly at this stage I really hope not, especially now since they have killed Kyle off. Now a reunion between darren and nancy would seem like Kyles character was killed off just for that. Also Mandy and Darren seem to really work well. No they didn't start off in the nicest way sneaking around behind their respective partners back but they seem solid enough and I would hate the writers to ruin that. And also mandy and nancy have reconciled too so that would be ruined too. I used to love Darren and Nancy together but I really think they should leave it alone now.
This must of brought so much back for Mandy with Lewis. She will try and help Darren as much as she can!

I actually love them together and I used to be a huge Nancy and Darren fan but IMO that pairing became toxic after the Darren/sienna disaster. All it was was fighting and bickering. They would have a massive row, break up, then get back together. It wasn’t healthy. Then Mandy came on the scene that was the beginning of the end for them. I actually think Darren and Mandy work well together. She has been really supportive of him and he can talk to her and they are not breaking up every 5 seconds. Much healthier relationship.
