Yay, New Mexico! I am now in AZ, but spent most of my life in NM, and it will always be "home" to me (17 years in Los Alamos, 30-ish years in Albuquerque/Rio Rancho.) I have been an A5 rings/discs planner forever, but I am trying to downsize into something more portable, and I like creating my own layouts, so I have a bunch of blank notebooks in all different sizes to figure out what will work for me. I love getting ideas from TH-cam! Currently using a B6 Sterling Ink half-year blank notebook. Tried the Standard size TNs last year, and will try out an A6 in 2025. Trying to get away from having a separate "purse planner." I am more of a functional planner than a decorative planner, but I am trying to use stickers and washi more just to make opening up my planner something I look forward to doing.
Oh awesome! Los Alamos is fun and of course Albuquerque is always an adventure :))- super curious how the A6 works out for you! And I’m with you- unsure of the idea of a “purse planner” if your one planner can ideally fit in your purse 🤔☺️
I have an N2 sterling ink common planner as my regular planner, i have a b6 slim sterling ink for daily journaling/ journal prompts, a happy planner classic notebook as a junk journal, a random hardcover journal for a book journal, and a sterling ink passport booklet as a commonplace journal and a goulet pens notebook as a swatch book
Love your lineup of notebooks. Last year I used Hobonichi A5 as an everything pen$&ink notebook. Ended up not liking at all. I was kinda like Goldilocks….A5 was too large, A6 was too small and B6 was/is just right. Bought a Sterling Ink B6 Common Planner (the undated daily one) for 2024 and absolutely love it. Altho I do also like my Oasis A6 that I got for the series swatching (e.g. Vlogmas & 30inks) I’m doing this year. And I’m with you on the using single sheets for pen & ink pairings instead of putting in a section of a notebook and running out of room to record new pairings when I get a new pen. Exactly why I created my PIPs (Pen & Ink Pairings sheets), A5 single sheets made to fit into a binder. It’s one sheet I print out for each pen I own and fill it out every time I ink it up for each Currently Inked. Love seeing how that pen writes over time with the different inks.
Thanks Grace! 💕 I love your PIPs so much and I’m sure that’s the way forward for me as well! Aren’t we all just Goldilocks out here? 😅 - I was SURE at one point B5 was the size for me (huge I know!) but not a B5 in sight these days 😊 - thanks for watching and for the insight!!
Love watching your videos. MU just came out with a clear sticker transfer that can help protect your flower in your ink journal. Keep producing helpful content.❤
New subscriber here. I really enjoy your videos. I like hearing people's processes of planning and of how they record their lives... At the beginning of year, I was using a Sterling ink A5 Common Planner; I liked it (loved the empty pages in the back of the SICP) but I had to change my planner in April do to seeing some bad memories going on in a job I left. I didn't want to flip back through it all so I decided to have a start fresh with a new planner after leaving that job in March. I started back using a April start Hobonichi Cousin for my main planner (I use it for work and tasks) I try to use the dailies and those pages are the hardest for me to keep up with. I sometimes go back to another date for notes or just to play with my fountain pens and inks on my empty daily pages... I have a pretty large fountain pen ink (over 170 inks) and pen collection (50-60 pens currently). Many of my fountain pens are inked all the time, some pens have dedicated inks that don't change. I track all the pen stuff in a B5 Sterling Ink 520 page Notebook. I would maybe suggest using a B5 notebook (Sterling Ink had some a while ago with TRP) for you to help with tracking all the fountain pen, inks, currently inked pens, and the dates I make purchases. I also track items in my purchases and wish lists in the B5 notebook. B5 is a great size and I have plenty of room to track many things for my Fountain pen hobby. I started using the B5 notebook in February this year and have cataloged everything from 2016, when I started collecting fountain pens and inks... I also track ink swatches and stationery collections in a Hobonichi A5 Notebook for the different FB groups I belong to, and so I can post to the different media sites I follow. I also have 2 Take A Note planners that I use. I use one for my personal journaling. The other Take a Note Planner I use for my astronomy/telescope learning and imaging journal and when I'm not writing about that I use the empty spaces/pages to transcribe a book by Carl Sagan "Cosmos."
Thanks so much for subscribing! Super happy to have ya on board. Also, wow! Loved hearing about what you've got going on with your planners. B5 is definitely a candidate for lots of room. My main planner was in a B5 size for, gosh, maybe 3 years or so? Also love your idea of having a notebook just for your stationery collection and keeping up with all of the groups and media sites (because whew, that gets crazy! lol) - fabulous insight and feedback and I appreciate you so much ✨
Maybe move the pen and ink swatches into the Filofax? That way you can add/remove/relocate pages. My personal Bujo and work pre-printed weekly have been pretty successful so far, but I want to start a reading/media (like movies and music too) journal for July.
Thank you!! I’ve been thinking about a combined media situation like that as well - you’ll absolutely have to check back in; want to know how that goes for you. What are you thinking about putting it in??
My Filofax, discbound & bookbound are all still working. I need to get back to reflecrions more but don't want to stress about it since it defeats the purpose... Nice 🙂 NM.
*Thanks for watching!* Let me know what you are up to with your own planning/journaling system! Want to know _all_ your business 😅💕

🤗 Love it! Seems like a solid lineup! A commonplace is something I feel more and more like I’m missing in my life.✨
I have a few happy planner inserts and notebooks that i am no loner using, so thank u for the idea. Love the junk journal idea, or even a gluebook!

Nice 🙂 NM.
Never stress about it! You’re so right. Love that you also have a variety of binding types in use. I find that super refreshing ☺️💕
@@julia-here Thanks 🙂
Will you be doing any sessions at Stationery Fest?
Yes! I’m attending the nib tuning, monoline, and inky messes workshops. Verrrryyy excited 🤗
