Now THIS is the kind of both physical and spiritual environment that produces quality games, a fun united community, and individual happiness at the workplace. Anyone would be blessed to work somewhere like this!
I used to work in the same building as these guys in Hunt Valley back in 2008. You could always tell who worked at Firaxis because while everyone else was decked in suits and business casual, you'd see people wearing jeans with their arms full of consoles and wires in the elevator. I asked one of them about E3 once. They offered me a tour, but they moved to another building before I got around to taking them up on that offer. This video feels like closure on my missed opportunity.
woaw!! this is great!! MOAR of this please! 1st time I saw a game studio.. I hope that it will be a regular thing. it feels like seeing celebrities' mansions and cars. REV3G FTW
Studio Tours... We need more of these! :-) It's great to see our favorite developers in their natural environment. Here's a suggestion, why not get into the studios of SquareEnix (JAPAN) and CDProjektRED?
This was awesome, more videos like this. The space where these great games are created is just as fascinating as some of the creative people who work on them.
Such a cool place to work, would love to be in a place like that some day. And beautifully shot by the way Rev3, really hope we can see more of these sort of behind the scene things :)
Very cool looking. Love the idea of a ground floor office. Obviously they wouldn't be too close to civilisation (heh) and so that's why they've got so many facilities there
So this is where the magic happens... pair it with the quality people and you have... well, XCOM:EU and Civ V :P I would love to see more of these vids, with other studios. Do it, Rev3!
I Love the white board idea, imagine one leaves and idea and then it strike's another person to use it for a game or maybe also life....it's a simple tool but could be a game/life changer..
This is such a wonderful office! It's not as fancy and modern as some other dev houses, and I bet the view is terrible, but it nails what's really important... The employees seem to really settle in and make a little home of their workspace. Like the guy with the christmas lights! Nothing like the daytime cubicle prisons I'm used to... What I'm saying is that I'm super fucking jealous.
Awesome stuff! This looks great... It's not surprise that in this kind of healthy environment they can churn out such a classic series like The Witcher.... Speaking of, did AngryJoe inadvertently leak the existence of TW3 back when this vid was made?
Offices often look that way when tours happen. It is a big deal that outside perception is as good as it can be. I am not in the industry, but I can tell you from experience that an office that looks like that may simply be for show. I have no idea how fraxis actually treats their employees, but how their office looks should be little indication (unless it is extreme, which this one was not).
Some props need to be given to the cameramen at Rev3. So many of those tracking shots are just gorgeous.
Wow they have doors! You close it and you are private, you open it and ... WOW!
This studio is so impressive, so much comfort, amazing architecture, so much space for each employee. It must be really fine to work to these guys.
Now THIS is the kind of both physical and spiritual environment that produces quality games, a fun united community, and individual happiness at the workplace. Anyone would be blessed to work somewhere like this!
Those shots from the camera are impressive, shout out to the camera man doing the fantastic job.

Damn, Firaxis looks like a cool place to work
This is the best developer office I've ever seen. Usually when you see tours of studios, it's just like a mosh pit of desks.
That looks like a great place to work.
Thank you so much for explaining how a door works.
This studio looks amazing. I would love to work in that environment...
I gotta say, props to the cameraman. Some great shots and pretty steady camera work all around.
These videos with Firaxis/Sid have been fantastic. Thanks Rev3 for such a well-produced, enjoyable series.
Thank you rev3, this is exactly what gwme journalism ought to include.
Not just the gsmeplay itself but also the periphery of gaming.
Thank you!
Didn't realize this place existed until earlier today when I was delivering food to a lacrosse team in the building next beside Firaxis Games.
WOW, i say seeing different work places in the industry , this one of the best!
Really makes you want to work there! :D
I love it when Rev3 use Bill Kiley's music in these videos.
See, I love Rev3Games, you truly get a sense they care about video games
That looks like an amazing workspace... Its always great to see you guys doing the behind the scenes industry coverage. Thanks!
These behind the scene videos are great, keep them coming Rev3!!
This has got to be the best place to work on the whole planet
I love studio tours, please make more of these.
Absolutely love studio tour stuff like this! I find it fascinating to see the spaces that games are made in. I hope we get more of these.

I would absolutely love to see more tours of studios. This was such a cool video guys, thank you!
Man it would be amazing to work for a company like this
more of these if u can they really show who the guys that make our games and how they are so creative
video game studios always have nice beautiful interior design with amazing furniture. same with DICE studio in sweaden, Guerrilla Games in holland
REALLY liking the production on these videos, guys. Interesting subjects, too!
I would love to see more of this kind of thing.
5:50 omg! Laser Sharks would be an awesome late-game unit for Civ V :D
This was great! I'd love to see more videos like these. And yes, a tour at Valve's studio with Adam and Gabe would be incredible.
Adam I would love to see one of these showing off your all's space.
Thank you guys, I really enjoy videos like this, please continue on doing them. :)
5:56 A crossover between Bioshock and X-Com sounds cool, especially for the X-Com 3: Terror from the Deep.
This was awesome, more videos like this. The space where these great games are created is just as fascinating as some of the creative people who work on them.
Great video. Looks like a very nice place to work.
Hope we will se them make a sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown soon.
Thanks for doing this Rev3Games and Firaxis It was very interesting
But I wanted to see Sid`s office
now i know why i see good games coming outa this company all the time
Looks like a great company working in a great environment.
Also, XCOM: Enemy Unknown is so addictive.
I like the way you have fun, Adam.
Yay for video game companies from Maryland!
Such a cool place to work, would love to be in a place like that some day. And beautifully shot by the way Rev3, really hope we can see more of these sort of behind the scene things :)
I love this kind of workplace. Awesome.
Amazing camerawork and an awesome video overall, I'd love to work there.
Gaming news seems to rarely show these types of topics anymore; nice! =D
awesome video. I hope you do more different studio tour videos...
More studio tours!
Looks like such an awesome place to work
With a huge and impressive space like that, they're bound to release XCOM 3 sometime soon...
That is an amazing work space.
Sid meiers pirates ftw!
That's a cool office smaller then I would have thought though considering the scope of their games.
I Luv the creative space they have. It would be awesome to work a company like that
love it. studio tours are always awesome
This is why i love Rev3Games! PS. Can i get a job at Civilization and XCOM studio.
Major video game developers tend to have such awesome offices
It seems like a great environment to work in..
I always pronounced it "fire-axis". Nice to have that cleared up.
Wow that office is amazing
You should tour the Zynga building, it's pretty cool, I got to tour it last friday by my dad who now no longer works there....
Looks like a very awesome work environment
More of these please.
That place looks amazing
When do they have the time to use gym, basketball court, etc when they are meant to be working?
Great music choice for the video.
gotta say. really good camera work cameraguy!!!
Now what would be really interesting is if Rev3 sent Adam over to Japan to check out Square Enix, Nintendo, Capcom, and Sega.
Man, I had no idea Firaxis was in Hunt Valley. I've probably passed their office a bunch of times.
oh so glorious, let us rejoice in hymns
pretty good content right here and what and awesome place to work props to whatever planned all that
Very cool looking. Love the idea of a ground floor office. Obviously they wouldn't be too close to civilisation (heh) and so that's why they've got so many facilities there
I kind of expected hex shaped floor tiles and a menu explaining production, science, and culture in the offices
Yes, Adam Sessler.
So this is where the magic happens... pair it with the quality people and you have... well, XCOM:EU and Civ V :P
I would love to see more of these vids, with other studios. Do it, Rev3!
Neat .... please do more of these!
Studio tour stuff is pretty intersting
Nice steady cam
much nicer than my office... rows and rows of works stations...
I really enjoyed this! Please make more :D
I'd love to work there!
I would love to work here when i am out of high school and then college
What I wouldn't give to see and hear Adam and Gabe Newell touring Valve's studios. That would be glorious.
more of this pls
This was really neat.
More of this!
A great insight. Thanks for this!
I Love the white board idea, imagine one leaves and idea and then it strike's another person to use it for a game or maybe also life....it's a simple tool but could be a game/life changer..

What I'm saying is that I'm super fucking jealous.
Adam Sessler has to be elected the sexiest man alive. Bald really fits him a lot - and such a sexy voice!
XCOM: Enemy Unknown is living proof of that.
Wow, id like to work here!
pfft looks just like the studio I work at. *cries*
Awesome stuff! This looks great... It's not surprise that in this kind of healthy environment they can churn out such a classic series like The Witcher.... Speaking of, did AngryJoe inadvertently leak the existence of TW3 back when this vid was made?
OMG opening and closing the door O.o

I just wanna see Adam go ALL OVER THE US GAME STUDIOS AND DO A TOUR! ps. please :)
