It's a different sort of ship from what the Europeans are used to seeing (except in Sandinavia).
It is super modern and high tech inside. I've been on her sister. Quite impressive what ultra-modern warships are like.

Where is the 'courtesy' French flag?
Where is the Canadian naval flag? (Not on the stern).
Six if these Arctic Patrol Vessels for a cost of C$5 billion? A joke, where the taxpayer gets fleeced once again.
Never mind going into the litany of problems currently facing these vessels.

For eight of them, it's a large ship equipped with different features that normal warships don't have.

Yes, they are specialized for Arctic missions, apparently Ice Class I (?? references requested). I had worked on a merchant ship that was Ice Class IA (1.5-m thick), which is quite impressive for a non-coast guard or naval vessel. Beyond that, this new APV class are not very impressive, and have already experienced shell, internal tank and piping problems. The Russians can operate year-round in the Arctic. Canada cannot.

@@SailorGerry Russia can't operate a ham sandwich without it being sunk by a country with no navy.

Huge oversight not mounting a 20mm Phalanx CIWS in the aft. In reality that 25 is too small as well.
