    Really honoured to have met Duduzane. A real gentleman, humble, considerate and a cool gent.
    The Virtual Mkhukhu is an educational space, where we ask questions that'll allow guests to feel free to tell their story.
    I can say that I try to not ask tough questions or debate, coz I don't think this is the right platform. I hope this makes sense.
    Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this episode together. Don't forget to join as a member. Blessings, Pen 🙏🏽❤️

      You didn't ask him any question of substance..like what kind of people are going to be in his cabinet, what his economic policies are going to be, how does he plan to deal with issues of immigration and issues of access to health care crime prevention. Not a single contentious question was tabled. You and Sbu kept on shaking his hand and almost ass kissing to an extent. You did not challenge him enough Pen. When someone plans to run for office you have to prepare a set of serious questions coz our country has serious issues!!!

    • @Penuelism
      @Penuelism 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@ASouthAfrican-e8r Again, the point of the platform is not really to challenge, but we appreciate the feedback and once he comes back, we'll pose some of the questions to him.
      The Virtual Mkhukhu is not a hostile platform. Anyone and everyone should be free here, and not feel ambushed.

      @@Penuelism it’s not about being hostile. You can be cordial, respectful etc but still keep people accountable & challenge the views they express in as far as they are inconsistent with facts or the principles they claim to espouse. It’s only when you tease out some of these contradictions where real learning starts. We have seen it being done on the platform with other guests Eusebius Mckaiser & Mandisa Mashengo interviews for example were not hostile but very informative because you were willing to tease out and challenge views they were expressing. The moment you allow a select people especially the political types who are your faves come on your platform to present ‘alternative’ facts (disinformation) & you roll out a red carpet you then become part of their propaganda machinery.

    What inspires me greatly about this episode is that it epitomises the appreciation of plurality this platform has. We do not necessarily have to agree on matters, but we do need give ourselves time to understand those we do not agree with. We are a society that reserves a mic and our hearing only for those we favour.

    Great interview Sbu and Penuel. Your combination is beginning to rival that of Pippen and Jordan back in the 90's😃.
    Where do I even start. It's very uplifting from Duduzani especially the bit about job creation and putting South Africa back on track economically. Coal is one of South Africa's biggest assets and we cannot be duped into letting go of it. It's another Nongqawuse story to be honest.
    This interview has taught me that as South Africans we can be too emotional and less logical about politics. Politics don't have to be binary, we can agree with different people on a point by point basis. Meaning I can agree with Duduzani on some elements and disagree fundamentally on others. Same goes with Malema, Herman, Lux etc... We need a bit of political maturity or else these politicians will win everytime.
    Same goes with Baba Zuma, he is very charismatic and likeable but he still needs to answer honestly for the collapse of our country's economic prospects. I do understand the nuances but it doesn't get more establishment than Jacob Zuma and Cyril Ramaphosa because they were both there from the very beginning of the so called new South Africa. They need to take the nation into confidence about where it went wrong during the negotiations just so that history is documented accurately.
    I did like the bit during the latter stages of the interview where Duduzani urged the elders to essentially step aside with dignity or face the uncertainty of fighting it out to their likely detriment.
    What would be revolutionary to me at least would be to see Duduzani Zuma, Julius Malema and Nhlanhla Lux join hands and find a way to work with each other because they agree on fundamentals but of course PRIDE and SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS always comes in the way for our leaders.

    Thank you for this podcast. We need part 2.
    I support the removal of Old people in the ANC and let the young fresh minds that are smart to take over because we have a beautiful future to raise. Look at UAE what they have achieved out of their resources. It is possible guys lets just put politics aside. ANC is beyond repair with those old people.

    • @khaltsharivist365
      @khaltsharivist365 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which is which? So many contradictions in that one paragraph
      -Remove old people from ANC and let the youngens take over?
      -ditch the fledgling democracy and gamble on a benevolent authoritarian regime like they have UAE?
      - Put politics aside and look after yourself king?
      -ANC is beyond repair, accept fate?
      No one is going to hand over anything on a platter. If young people who are the majority in the country were actually politically involved & intentional they can have whoever they wanted in the structures of ANC or any political party. Fact is they don’t have critical mass in the membership of political parties except maybe EFF… so the geriatrics in ANC will continue to have their way as young people consume copious amounts of reality tv and soapies and building castles in the air. They will pop up on social media now and again with half assed and muddled political thoughts about young people leading. Lead what when they have not taken time to study and understand the system they want to take over or undo?
