I agree 👍 I was going to get the exact same one the other day and glad I didn't. Just like you, I had a cleaning yesterday and asked my hygienist if it's safe to use... She recommended to stay away. The vibrations/movement of the top is not gentle enough to use and can cause damages to your teeth in the long-run
Hey guys, I'm in the Dental Hygiene program and am doing research on this particular product. All I can tell you for right now is that it is okay to use, however, If you have calculus on the roots of your teeth, that product will not be able to take it off. Point is, don't waste your money and just get your teeth cleaned twice a year with your hygienist.
I completely disagree with it not removing tartar, I had some tartar on the bottom of 1 front tooth and 1 back tooth, I used this tool a couple of times per week for around 30 seconds each time, after around 3 -4 weeks of doing this, the tartar fell away, I think it's an awesome little tool.
@@leannewilson2964 Please dont use it several times a week. You're going to wear down your enamel. His review gave you all the correct information. Dental schools are an excellent alternative if you need work done, but you have financial issues atm. I can almsot guarantee that you'll get a better cleaning at a school than a private office.
George Alazyan so what do you do if your husband has never been to the dentist EVER 40 years old and he’s a smoker I can’t get him to go as he’s never had a cavity and still has all his teeth just bad tar stains on the back sides
@@GypsyJackie2 How do you know he doesn't have a cavity if he's never been to the dentist lol. Some cavities require a radiograph (xray) to detect. I strongly recommend that he goes especially if he smokes. Even just seeing a hygienist will go a long way. If not please go to a dental or hygiene school and let the students practice on him. Youll get a more thorough assessment and cleaning at a school and for way cheaper. If anxiety is stopping him from going we're trained to assist clients with anxiety. Please please do not clean your own teeth.
Normally I would not buy but these aren't normal times we're living in. I was due for my cleaning right when all this started so now I'm about 10 months since my last dental cleaning. Is this OK for that problem area?
I think with covid restrictions it might be useful to use one a month, I have had two cleanings cancelled because of covid so I might use this rarely though. And I’ve had 3 implants recently so I would be careful using it.
Things have lightened up here, I've had two cleanings in the past eight months. I don't mind waiting in my car until my appointment. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Twice a year at the dentist is enough, dont want put up with the weird feeling everyday i:ll stick to string flossing. I'd take it for free to use on cleaning gunk out of a small engine carburetor! lol Great Job as always Keep it up i watch all your stuff'
My dental insurance is now allowing 4 times a year at the dentist for cleanings. I use a sonic toothbrush, seldom floss (just forget) and my dr is very satisfied with the cleanliness of my teeth. Each cleaning is now faster as I'm going every 3 months.
Try the Access flossed, it gets to the posterior teeth much better. Water and hydrogen peroxide rinses are really helpful as well and to do a better job on the permanent retainer try Soft Picks, originals work well on anterior teeth. soft Picks advanced are much more universal.
@@Jeffreviews4u awww Im really sorry☺️ I was only intending to be informative, as i imagine per second is more impressive than per minute which would give people a different impression on the product ....lit wasn’t a slur on your excellent helpful review which I honestly appreciated .....keep up the good work 😘
Only the first 3mm from the tip is effective. You have to touch the lateral side of the tip to where the plaque is. Don't touch the tip point directly to your teeth surface that will develop pits and in time it will becomes hole. Don't have the instrument contact your teeth surface for too long, because of the fast speed (vibration per min) this will generate heat and that might damage your teeth and you will need a root canal. Your touching motion is almost like a tapping of the 3mm lateral side of the tip of the instrument to the surface of your teeth where the plaque is. If you keep it moving slow and smoothly then you don't have to worry about your teeth gets damaged by the heat. Well, there is a video on here to show you the technique of how to use an ultrasonic scaler correctly so you don't hurt yourself/ teeth. Buy some gauze 2x2 have it nearby so you could wipe off the harden plaque that will dislodge from your teeth. This instrument is the only affordable option for the many of us that couldn't afford a dentist office cleaning. I am glad this is on the market, but please research and watch the correct technique how to position the first 3mm lateral side of the tip of the scaler and the how to motion of the scaler. Then you're set! Best wishes to all 👍❤✨

This is an awesome little tool, after 3-4 weeks of using it a couple of times per week, I've had 2 smallish chunks of tartar fall away from 2 teeth.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Have a great day and stay safe.

I bought it yesterday and believe me it's nothing but waste of money ,useless .better save money for the dentist
I'm not a fan either, but I have heard from a few that really like it.
Thank you Jeff

I couldn't agree more. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
I just bought and it doesn't turn on. Brand new batteries too. And yes it is installed correctly.
Strange. Maybe you can return it. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Same thing with me it won’t turn on brand new batteries so disappointing
I just got one last night. Only tried on one tooth because I got nervous. It came with a tongue scraper too.
What did you think?
@@Jeffreviews4u I'm a little nervous about damaging my teeth, but it does take stuff off.
That's my biggest fear too...be careful and use sparingly is what my dentist told me.
Yes I would use one, if it worked. I bought one before, not a sonic one and it didn't work, so I hope thus one works
Ummm 🤔 still having a hard time putting the battery on
I have one...it says 3000 vibration per minute not per second as you mentioned......
well there you go pointing out my mistakes. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Is the "sonic pic" and "electric calculus remover" the same thing?
I've never heard of an electric calculus remover...sorry
No Jeff I think I,d past on that one.
You're better off passing on this one. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
no need to use it if you've been to the dentist int the last week, I imagine! Isn't it to help chip away plaque that's built up over the months?
Thanks for the review!
Absolutely - hope it helped. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
So it works or not???
It works...if you end up using it be careful not to spend too much time on a specific area - otherwise you could put pits in your teeth.
My dentist was rubbish🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ anything s better than him!!
Is it good for tartar removing?
As long as you're careful using it
I will get it just for cleaning my stains .
just be careful not to pit your teeth. let me know how it works for you.
Yea I wouldn't get one either.
This is an easy deny to me. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Such a waist of money I buy today hi is not doing NOTHING DO NOT BUY
Ya if it works
Have you tried it?
Naw bro thinking about it my dentist not feeling it at all due to improper use can damage yur gums
Just both one does not come on.

Does not work.

I have a dark stain in between my teeth. I've been considering trying this.
sometimes dental clinics can diagnose without charging. maybe worth looking into.
