  • These binoculars were dropped from a climber stand over 20 feet high. The impact busted out the screws that guide the eyecup in and out. This video highlights how to repair the adjustment mechanism.

Just watching this video saved me a warranty claim. Easy fix. Thanks

one of those lovely chinee black screws broke off at the head, with no way to back it out.

My binoculars are pretty much brand new, and the rubber piece came loose. It just needs glue, but im not sure if I'm going to return, warranty, or fix them myself.

I just didn’t feel like going through the trouble of sending them off. They are still holding up. I’m sure they would fix for free if you went that route.

This sounds like something a little over my head. I would reach out to the company and see if they will fix the problem under warranty.

Where did you get the screws?

They were the original screws in the binos. The outer rubber piece kept them from being lost. I’m sure if you emailed vortex they would send you new ones.
