Modica is by far one of the best places in Sicily and even for people residing here in Malta is very popular. I was there last August and safe to say that loved it. Such a shame that southern sicily is often underrated and neglected

Exactly! People look down on South Italy but it is honestly an incredibly beautiful part of Italy.

I can so resonate with what you refer to in your video today regarding rubbish and the people's attitude. We have bought a house in a small town in Puglia's Salento region and the rubbish problem there is depressing. Such a shame and sad to see beautiful buildings and amazing beaches amongst the rubbish. Modica is beautiful I was there last year simply stunning and the chocolate nom nom.

You journey in Italy is captivating though not by the surroundings. By you.

Modica at night turns itself into a presepe!

You mentioned recently visiting three immaculate cities. Which ones?

Ragusa, Marina di Ragusa and then Modica. I also filmed a vlog from Ragusa which you can find in the 'Discover Sicily' playlist

    Chocolate and meat? 🤔
Yeah, in many regions of Italy there was also the traditional "sanguinaccio" (not to be confused with the typical sausage, similar to the British black pudding) that is hot chocolate mixed with pig's blood (and that ingredient has been banned for 30 years and replaced by cinnamon mostly). Those who tasted sanguinaccio with real blood say that it was delicious. I'll take their word. 😅

I can’t stand black pudding so I don’t think I would like that!
