Listening to you Colette when I should be asleep, but if I am to be sleep deprived, then let it be for this Fall beauty. A celebration of light! I love it. I have always especially admired the golden hues of the Autumn sun, the way everything glows. Be blessed one and all - 🍂🍄
Hi Colette, Hope you and Patsy are both well. I have just spent the last few days waging war on a recalcitrant Buddleia intent of garden domination. I am covered in bruises as it put up a bit of a fight! However, I am glad to say I prevailed and the rest of the garden is suddenly looking very much larger. I could feel the surrounding plants let out a huge sigh of relief as they had been bullied almost into non-existence. I did a massive Snoopy dance to celebrate which, at my age, wasn't easy or particularly pleasant for the neighbours, but I felt very good about it! I admire your work ethic and the way in which you have always managed your woodland. It is so inspirational and I love to wander around your beautiful woodland with you on one of your danders! I have taken so many ideas from your vlogs. Thank you for being a source of so much inspiration for me. Bright blessings to you and Patsy. Debs
Congratulations on your balancing the plants. Those butterfly trees are very aggressive and they can certainly take over. I do enjoy the beauty of their flowers and the ability to attract hummingbirds and butterflies...but it is essential to keep them to a minimum and not letting them go crazily out of control ❤😊 I enjoyed your description of the struggle and the 💃 🎉dance in the end❤

There's something that is just so special about the Autumn light. Spring is so beautiful, Winter so restful and Summer so bountiful.....but Autumn is just special!
Beautiful! It's 2 A.M. here in Alaska. I went outside to view the Northern Lights and take pictures of the full moon. That was my beautiful light before bed. Your place is looking wonderful.
The gardens are enchanting at night. I don't think I've ever seen your place after dark. It's a whole different vibe I love to walk around outdoors when there's a full moon.
This is such a great video I'm watching it again as I'm pruning, opening up the clogged streams. And here's something that came to my attention yesterday about Autumn and light: "And then the sun took a step back, the leaves lulled themselves to sleep, and autumn awakened."....Raquel Franco
Greetings from Athens, Greece 🇬🇷, Colette. The Secret Garden 🪴 is still such a 🪄 Magic spot in the Wood. Were you to find a compatible soul (preferably a Hermit 🧙) to live in a tiny home on a far corner of your land, one would think you would be set (along with the recent rewiring 💡) for the next 50 years - no doubt about it. All kidding aside, may you continue to be active and productive in the Eden you have nurtured. You are an inspiration and an example to us all. 💚+💎, -V
Thank you once again for sharing the beauty and your wisdom I’m so happy for your new lights and wiring. Along with your stove. Everyone deserves to feel safer at home. You are an inspiration to us all. Blessings and hugs to my new friend from Katie in Arkansas.
Going to make your energy drink. I've been paying those prices too. Glad you clarified "squash". I was about to grab a vegetable.😆 I like to make a tea of lemon balm and hibiscus and a bit of honey for a calming tea after yard work.
The play of your new outdoor light upon the trees and plants is lovely. The shadows add another dimension to the already magical atmosphere. It's so helpful to have access to extra light when you need it. Thank you for this video and Blessings to you and Patsy!
Amazing! Looks beautiful. The bird sounds, caught the attention of Violet ( a 7 yr old black and gold calico). She became so excited, I had to give her a treat 😸 The outdoor lighting is wonderful. Happy September and tonight is a full moon with an eclipse. Going to enjoy it with my favorite guy ( the grandson). Many Happy Blessings & Joy 🐝🐝🐝
Good morning to you, Colette. Your video today was another inspiring one. I love that you receive such joy from your land and cottage. You love both so much, and they love you back. Your gardens are so beautiful. I love the serenity that it gives. Blessings to you and Patsy. ❤
I really enjoy your videos. They are soothing to the soul and it is wonderful to see you care for your land as a gift that will be passed along to another generation. Kudos.
Hi Colette, Thank you for taking us around your beautiful grounds at Bealtaine on this lovely autumn morning! A bit chilly in the mornings but warms up as the day goes on here in Norfolk UK. Enjoy the rest of your day. Many blessings to you and dear little Patsy ❤❤
Colette we`ll be calling you Snow Whiite with the beautiful cottage and all the wildlife around you, bonus not having all the lads mind you. So gorgeous esecially in the sunlight, actually no matter what the weather but the sun and warmth allows you to sit and enjoy meals and snacks outside for longer, just wonderful. Your cottage looks incredibly cosy through the window all lit up. Must be Heaven outdoors with such little light poloution esecially on a Moonlight night. Enjoy and Hugs to Patsy E x
You mentioned the Milky Way, but I’ve recently seen some fantastic photos of Aurora Borealis (northern lights) from the north of Ireland & some from Omagh.
I was finally able to see it about a month ago, and from my own back yard in the Northeast US! It was spectacular, I'm so glad we caught it- it faded away 10 minutes later.
You are amazing. We mostly had grayish day here in Western Oregon with a bit of a breeze, and clearly we are heading into a real Autumn. Always enjoy your videos though I didn't get to it until quite late this evening. Enjoy your week🍁
Thank you for such lovely videos Colette. Such peace is always had when viewing the inside of your cozy cottage or the beautiful gardens, you so thoughtfully created, outside. Thank you!
A friend locally introduced me to a red clover flower cordial - as a soft drink it is delish! Mixed with soda water , better than champagne! (well sorta)
I have overhead solar lights, inspired by yours (when you had them). They are brilliant! Into their 3rd year and going strong. No electricity at all. Visitors always compliment them. The foxes set them off at night but they are used to them.😊
Lovely light🌕 Your photos are beautiful. Good idea for your own energy drink. I’ve been making mint and apple peel tea and drinking it hot and cold. Citrus is pricey here in western Canada so I’m using what I have: apples, black currants, blackberries etc. (FYI: I only use my apples or foraged apple peels as store ones have been coated.)
What gorgeous pictures!! I own a small horse farm, and the farm portion is lit completely by solar. My recipe for an electrolyte drink: water, maple syrup, lime (or lemon) juice, and a pinch or two of salt. Delicious, natural, and effective!
Beautiful lights....I like to do cold healing herbal tea with the herbs I grow trying new kinds...adding a bit of good honey or maple sirup.lime lemon..I love Marocain ( greentea and lemon) . I do it at night in big mason jar in fridge for the next day. Fresh thym tea is very good...I go with the season and what mother brings .
The drink is a good idea. It's so expensive to buy them these days. I have taken to making West African hibiscus juice. To keep mine healthier i have replaced white sugar with unrefined coconut sugar. Next time i make it i'm going to try using agave.
And I add a bit of Elderberry syrup I make every August from my shrubs (and leave some berries for the birds!) that usually lasts till Spring for its taste and immune health.
😢Awwwww I too have baby colored doves,, that were born in my tree by my back gate... They are, so cute,,🕊️🕊️, lovely weather as you have.. Lots to do..... Full moon tonight super moon..Harvest moon good for manifesting your hearts desire be carefully what you wish for .🌝✨😕🌚🌝 My birthday on the 20th....🎑I'm so happy with what I call MY SEPTEMBER which I share with you all 😂😂😂✨blessings to you dear Collette 💫🙏💫
I stopped keeping my self made drinks in plastic bottles (water from my deep well with lemon juice, or a bit of squash, ginger cordial, tea). Each plastic (PET) bottle brings up to 240.000 particles of micro- and nanoplastic into our bodies. That’s what I learnt at an International Conference about this horrific problem, it was hosted by University College Dublin some three weeks ago. Those particles not only can act like sand paper in our blood vessels and organs, they also attract different bacteria like magnets. Biofilms then can be formed, which antibiotics cannot penetrate anymore. Furthermore the phthalates in most plastics act as hormone disruptors, which can lead to breast cancer and prostate cancer (and more cancers). Not to talk about the harms to our wild life. Politicians don’t give a f*** about this continuing pollution, which cannot be contained anymore. The global companies are allowed to pollute our planet more and more, we consumer buy more and more of that stuff, not knowing about the damage to our health and to the water. Clothes made of fleece release masses of microplastics into the environment too 😢 But each consumer could make a little difference, especially for the sake of their own health.
Fuscia trees that you have there are amazing to me. I have only ever seen them growing in hanging baskets here in Texas. They are so beautiful. Can you do anything with the wood? Is it a soft wood or a hardwood? Does is burn well? Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us.
Wonderful as always. ??? Wondering do you burn any and all wood or is some not really suitable??? Ive read online that conifer, chestnut, alder and a few others have high levels of resin which leave behind a sticky residue, some woods are very smoky and willow is said to have a high moisture level. Of course I know and understand that it all needs to be well seasoned but I’d love to hear your views and experience on different woods. Thank you and blessings to everyone xx
