I went to Anglers Anonymous yesterday on your recommendation. The guys were very helpful. Described the lures and suggested colors. Store is very complete and even had the Stinky Pants stringer clip which is very hard to find. I didn’t show my wife the bill.
Just taking a quick look again before I get down for my first trip of the year. Can you provide a list of all the colors/lures you ended up picking out?
Thank you for actually showing us what these lures look like at the store. Sometimes when you see someone using a lure you’ve never purchased, it’s hard to find because you have no idea what the package looks like, or can’t remember the brand name, or what “Texas chicken” actually looks like. Great video hoss.
Very rarely, but just because I elect not to since I have a bunch of other stuff. I’ll likely use one this year if for nothing else but content purposes.
Great video! As a primarily freshwater angler, I have countless assortments of jerkbaits. In the situations you describe in this video and the video after this one, have you ever tried using small jerkbaits (ex. shadow raps) instead of the walk the dog style lures?
Thank you for the solid content! For this time of year are you strictly focusing outside of marsh/grassy areas? Have any recommendations for a beginner plastic user on where to go in the Galveston area that’s wade-able or kayak?
Great info! As always, I appreciate your willingness to help out a less-than-average angler. Do you change your rod n reel set up when you throw the small hard baits ?
I do have a video where I’m messing with plastics, but which video that was, I can’t recall. Not real sure on the hard baits. Perhaps the one last spring where I’m talking about my favorite spring baits.
I typically fish marshes about 2 feet deep (GISP-Jenkins Bayou); would you use the Soft-Dine and MirroDine at that depth or just stick with a Topwater or work bottom with soft plastic or something.
Spring time adds a level of frisky to the action! The dines is my new bait to conquer! I’ve been jigging for a long time, very little experience with hard/soft twitch/top but have seen enough action that it’s twisted my arm to give it a go!
Great video, and thanks for the shopping list! My wife is going to love it!!!! Lol
There you go again... great video sir!
Thanks for the info, enjoy the channel
thanks for the great information - I also appreciated your comments and honesty about not being sponsored by those lure companies.

Glad ur back Capt!
Glad to be back!
Great video Caleb can you do a video on how to work the mirrodine. It’s a weird one cause you don’t have contact with the lure
Sure. To get you going tho, it’s small rhythmatic (yes, I made that word up, I think) twitches.
@@CaptCalebTV the peoples champ. 🤙
Thanks for the great tips on spring time fishing and another great video
What size on Mirrodines? 17MR?
What’s your feeling on Yosuri hardbaits ? All those you mentioned tho are great as well !! Another good informative video Caleb
Haven’t used Yosuri much, but they do look good.
awesome video caleb, thanks!
Thanks for sharing!! Have yet to try the soft dines....I'm on it! Tight lines
Awesome vid thanks for the tips capt!
Thanks for the spring tips , gonna be picking up some flashy baits to match the hatch. You Rock capt
You ever use a Johnson Spoon?

Good info Brother
The rattles on all my mirrodines have always given out very quickly. Thats the only thing i dont like about them....
I haven’t experienced this.

Whats the details on that fishing show?
4/14-18 and the George r Brown in Houston. Fun show.
@@CaptCalebTV thanks man. I hope i see you there.
Bone chrome spook jr and Soft dine same color 🙌🏼. I always preached about having baits with a little razzel dazzle during spring time. Awesome video
Hey capt!! Thanks for the great info. !! Tight lines
If you’re looking at a fluoro w/ stretch, why not use the copolymer lines?
Mostly because you’ve just used a word I’ve never heard. 😂. I’ll look them up!

I don’t really follow the walk in spots in Galveston. Wish I could be of more help, there!
When will the water be warm enough to start wet wading agian? And great video and info as always.
It’s dancing around it. I’ve seen it in the 70s, then a front brings it back down. 75 and up is my number.
Thanks for the info! Did you do any good?
So still kind of slow as far as fishing?
Great info! As always, I appreciate your willingness to help out a less-than-average angler.
Do you change your rod n reel set up when you throw the small hard baits ?
No sir, not really. I’ll throw just about anything with my Lews and Laguna Light Tx Wader 2.
Do you have a video on how to use handbags and soft plastics? Specifically how to retrieve with your set-up?

I bet a dine would be great.
they say they catch more fisherman than fish
Looking forward to trying out the Down South leaders. Thanks for the tips. My Lost Sparrow shirt came in today. Looks awesome.
Caleb, when and where. Is the show?im from ms and want to come
April 14-18 at the George R Brown in Houston. It’s a fun one.

What? A leader? I hope I can get a sample of that the next trip. Glad to see ya back.
Colby got me into fishing with the Texas chicken and I can’t wait to hook on to a gator trout!
Got to love that Texas chicken! Quick question on the mirror dines do you ever throw them out of the boat or just wade fishing?
I’ll throw them out of the boat. For me, I want a situation where I can get them down in the column if it’s not shallow, though.
Hardbaits***
Don't act like you didn't turn around a grab a few handfuls of Gulp when the camera turned off
Lmao. I have a good stock pike already!
