Allmänna Sången is a choir for mixed voices from Uppsala, Sweden, who stands for a unique combination of venerable traditions and innovatory creativity. The choir was founded in 1830 and is the oldest university choir in Scandinavia. Apart from various concerts and performances in Uppsala, Allmänna Sången annually tours in Sweden or abroad. In 2009, Allmänna Sången was awarded with a “grammis” at “Grammisgalan”, in the category “Classic of the year”. H.R.H. Crown princess Victoria is the patroness of Allmänna Sången since March 12th 2005.
