- Welcome to the one where we learn that Luke loves geeky, nerdy, unhinged, babbling Reid.....and Luke's not the only one, right?
To say I was a swooning mess after this episode is a SERIOUS understatement!!
It is 10 mins of continous flirting!
LUCINDA!!!! I wooped when she appeared. One step closer to a Reid and Lucinda scene- PLEASE SOAP GODS!!
Oo did I sense feisty and self depricating Noah?! Kinda liked it.
RICHARD. That's what the other side of your head looks like! Dayplayers clearly don't get the best dibs on wardrobe! Noah pretty much ordered him about the entire episode then told him he was in love with someone else. Oh poor Richard, he gets his shot and is nothing but an after thought, someone give that guy a HUG!
HOW MANY TIMES did Dr O and Luke make excuses to be together today?! They seriously cannot let eachother go and THAT to me is the cutest thing, plus Dr O made Luke do his under eye cute look *swoon*.
Reid was on FIRRRREEEEEEEE today! Every SINGLE comment out of his mouth was INCREDIBLE and SARCASTIC and Luke clearly loved it... he is so amused and giddy it's adorable to watch! From giggles to playful hitting. Seriously, Luke Snyder and Reid Oliver live in a world where personal space does NOT exist....and we LOVE IT!
It's kinda like Luke saw SUCH a different side to Reid today and every look screamed "who is this guy?" ... you could see it in his eyes. I seriously was a MESS watching this. FAR TOO CUTE.
Today, we got about a bazillion sides to Dr O all in the space of 10 minutes. Eric was SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY incredible today and opposite Van who personified the words "cute" and "honest" in his acting... today was literally PERFECTION.
HELLO NERVOUS REID. Where've you been hiding? It's amazing to see how he's gone from being the one in control and in charge and it was all lust and attraction ... now he's like a stuttering teenager incapable of forming a sentence or thinking straight.
His social ineptitude was at the forefront today. The entire scene was SOOOO charged and so tense and you could FEEL the fact that they were soooo caught up in eachother's presence. I ADORED Reid's trademark cut and run but Luke was having none of it and by "stay" I nearly fell of my chair. Reid has NO idea how to act and this freaks him out SOOOO much. It's incredibly cute.
Luke's honesty of wanting company was so lovely. Reid's understanding reply. Luke's nerves and awkwardness and then BAM they find something to do and it's all comfortable and normal and domestic and fun and FLIRTY beyond words. Luke LOVES the banter. It's obvious.
God Eric and Van just out did themselves today. That moment where Reid beat Luke and there were smiles and playfullness/dorkiness. It was as if they both found some sort of peace.
The smile before Reid says "Harvard Square" -he forgets himself and is THE REAL REID.
So Dr O had pushy parents and the "trained seal" comment makes so much sense. Poor guy's never let loose from an EARLY age. sob
Luke's so interested and honestly enjoying himself. His "there is so much I don't know about you" ... Reid fascinates him just as much as he does US!
Reid's freak out. JUST ABOUT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SCENE EVER after spending time watching his character develop. He's so smitten it's pretty ridiculous.
Every single glance Luke gives Reid is so full of wonder. He's getting a glimpse at the real Reid and he ADORES it. It's written all over his face. It's THE most romantic and awkward moment.
Reid's so insecure here. The fact he thinks that by showing his ACTUAL truth and his honesty that he'd freak people out. Oh my god that really made me feel soooo much for him. How can he think that?! He's so stiff and scared. Eric .... just ARGH YOU'RE SO AMAZING.
The babbling. Oh my. His "sorry, uh i dunno it's jst like the attack of the science nerd guy i don't ...really..." GOOD LORD ABOVE. Luke loves to care and to comfort....the fact a guy that's so strong, spikey, guarded and confident is standing infront of him nervous, exposed and finding it so hard to open his heart up. It TOTALLY does it for Luke!
The most beautiful and incredible thing is that Luke finds the entire thing so adorable and is clearly so shocked and touched by the way Reid's acting that he can't stop himself. "I don't know what else to do"- AW!
Luke is SUCH a sweetheart. He puts to rest Reid's freak out by being so sweet and gentle and then that kiss. GOOD LORD. The kiss. That is a kiss of true feelings. The way Luke just shuts him up and blatently CAN'T keep his distance. I swear I have never seen a more honest and romantic scene on my TV.
...and then the drama begins. Noah, your timing sucks.

I love how vulnerable Reid is at the end of this video. He's usually this confident tough guy doctor who doesn't take shit from anyone, but Luke managed to get through all those barriers to the point where he's this insecure high school kid again. Its not Noah's fault, but I hate that he showed up and ruined it.
God, I sooo want my very own Reid Oliver!! minus, the tragic ending! Sigh, I love him
Where was I when the saga of Luke and Dr. Reid was going on. I never though such a non-stereotypically gay couple would be presented on tv . Kudos to Atwt. On the other hand,the powers that be should be ashamed of themselves for the unnecessary and cliched tragic ending(really,a car stuck on train tracks?). Still Eric and van were absolutely superb.

OMG, the chemistry!!!!!! It's just unbelievable! Van and Eric make their characters seem so real and smitten with each other. I don't remember ever seeing this kind of chemistry between Luke and Noah! I just hope the writers realize that and make LuRe endgame 'cause I seriously couldn't stand it if Luke went back to Noah!
I love Luke's face when he says 'wait, how do I know you are not hustling me' XD
Even though it seems like the eye drops cured everything (XD) we must admit that Reid told Noah that sometimes the sight comes back all at once :P
Luke is such a good guy...and he has matured so much these last few months. Offerring to look for Gabrielle, caring most about "Noah getting better", seeing Reid's nervousness and comforting him...I just can't help but love him for it! I think Reid loves that about him too:-)
I love Lucinda when she says, "that NICE Dr. Oliver" :D

Reid is SO vulnerable in this episode lol. He's so honest and out in the open about his feelings, it's like watching a high schooler with their first crush LOL. Luke needs to stop playing and JUMP on Reid. I'm serious, ditch white Ray Charles and just have at it. Actually, I take that back, Luke HAS stopped playing because he INITIATED it this time. He know he want it so he better put a ring on it LMAO!!!

This really was the most perfect episode. I actually had butterflies watching this! They were both nervous: babbling reid and luke with his hands in his pockets, flashing his dimples. I really love them. And something abt reid talking abt his parents made my heart stop. he seemed so little and vulnerable and in need of a hug.

So many goodies and treats in this episode today, it was just awesome. Richard asking who the hot doc was Win. Noah saying Luke never said anything, oh really. Luke's little smile when Reid offered to go with him. The playful hitting, the complete nervousness on both their parts. The entire home scene was just pure win. The kiss. The arm grab, and Luke saying stay. But especially Luke touching Reid's hair and face stroking just freaking Awesome. CANNOT STOP WATCHING. LOVE THE DESCRIPTION
i am seriously in love with these two. i cannot stop watching the last scene. LuRe is beyond amazing and just too adorable for words.
Babbling Reid... SO cute. And I really liked that Reid didn't immediately tell Luke that Noah asked Richard when Luke first asked. He did tell him later, but by that time Luke had already decided to hang with Reid. Plus I love the way the look at each other. It's like they cant get enough time together.
Thank you so very much for posting Reid's video...I really appreciate that...I love Luke and Reid...I hope they'll be a couple in this story...please....

Thank God for the better quality videos. I can see Noah's beautiful face clearly now, and of course Reid's.
I love Reid's sarcastic deameanor and use the word, "IDIOT" in a classy way. It inspires me to use that word to everyone who I see fit-- which is everyone I deal with everyday.
This may not be important to you but the writers didn't resolve the tension from the last scene in part 52...Luke and Reid just jump back into their normal demeanor without addressing how Reid just took off at the bar with "I can't do this"
I think perhaps the thing I love most about them is the fact that they stand so close together, even now, when they aren't even going out. It displays [IMO] a deep emotional bond.
I just love them so much :)

i just hate it when luke already knows that Noah doesn't want to continue the relationship he gets scared when noah sees him and reid kiss! URGH! Luke you kissed reid so you MUST love reid so why do you want to hide it from Noah.

@happysmile91 To "wear your heart on your sleeve" means to be very forthcoming with your emotions, always saying what you're thinking, feeling, etc. - very much like how Luke is all the time. With the "trained seal" line, Dr. O is making a comparison to a trained circus animal that is taught to perform tricks. What he means is that his parents put a lot of pressure on him to constantly develop his skill, not allowing him to have fun, play, or do whatever else a kid likes to do.
Happyinchintz, I love your commentary, you really spot all the little things and put them in exactly the right words. Thank you SO MUCH for posting all this Reid Oliver goodness! :)))) I was so pleased to see Luke do a face stroke this time, I've been thinking it'd be his turn...

Noah now knows Reid is gay from Richard's "who's the hot doc". As he's only just got his eyesight back thanks to the miracle drops which he took after Reid left the room, he doesn't know yet what Reid looks like. I can't wait to see Noah's reaction when he finds out who Luke was kissing!

*SWOON* oh reid. cant stop watching this episode. it keeps getting better. POOR RICHARD :( LOL not gonna lie richards smile was kinda creepy.:p luke/reid are adorable together. This story is so good. This made me fall even more in love with reid. I am so invested with him now. :) They were SO into that kiss... especially threw the window...hands, grabby, YAY. Noah looks pissed. This is gonna be great!

It has to end out with Luke and Ried, they just fit together in all ways and if Noah has to live his dream out and make movies, he has to leave to California or maybe New York. Luke has his company/trustfond to take care of in Oakdale I can’t se how they will manage to stay together.
Ried has also commited him self to stay in Oakdale forever if he want to stay number one in his field and that’s perfect for Luke.

@bigastheritz True, he hasn't REALLY seen him yet but before the "miracle eye drops" as you put it, lol, Reid had to have been close enough to Noah physically for Noah to get at least some idea of what he's competing with. As for voice recognition, my goodness I'd pick Reid over Noah a thousand million times LOL. It's like whenever Reid speaks, it's almost like he's trying to sound really sexy lol.

@znodeel Second that!!! I've watched many soaps throughout the years and I have never seen such a complex, entertaining, engaging, and funny character like Reid Oliver. I agree with your assessment on the writing as well. The writers must understand Eris Steven's ability/talent and take advantage of it with good complex material. Do you notice that he is the only character that eats and performs at the same time? Anyway I agree!

@nigotu I know, it really started to ruin it for me. I got so irritated trying to watch Luke and Reid with all his negativity spread out everywhere. Ugh! I can't even believe I missed SO MANY Reid scenes because LukeVanFan hates him so much. That's why I'm so grateful for this channel, because it's the only place where I get to see all of Reid's scenes, and I don't care about what Andy says, but I love Reid!
