The new Chanel summer beauty accessories collection is to die for! I couldn't help but ordered the mirror compact and the makeup brush set in the color "Cavalier Seul". As much as I would love to keep the brush set, I am planning on returning or re-selling it since I can't justify the price.

I have the regular black Chanel mirror i bought aboyt 2 yrs ago. I do love it! The new colors are so cute, but yeah I'm good with one mirror. The brushes are cute, but agree with you thinking they are not worth it. Thanks for sharing!

I have the same brush set in the same color like you and I have the same feelings.. I'm not very happy about the size. Its smaller then I was expecting to be and its very expensive.. I have to think about it if I keep it. The mirror is nice and I think I keep it. Thank you for your review and sharing your opinions!
Hi there! I’m so glad you agree with me. It’s way over priced but I guess that’s the price of luxury 😅 As a Chanel beauty collector, deep down I want to keep it but $160 can make better use towards an experience or a contemporary leather bag lol.

You are incorrect on your comment saying that you are mostly paying for the Chanel brush casing. If you price the brushes separately, they come out to 142 USD. Therefore, the casing is only 18 USD, which is a great deal. That’s probably why they sold out so fast.
Hi there! You got a point. It is a good deal, however, I slightly disagree. You’re really paying for the brushes instead of the leather case even though the case comes out to be $18. I guess it depends on how you see or value the set. Also, it sold out pretty fast mainly because resellers brought it to resell it on eBay 😭 which I hate so much. I probably will return it and not end up selling it for ethical reasons. Anyways, hope you have a great weekend 💕
@@Jetvinchy I do agree, you are mainly paying for the brushes and the leather case is a nice addition. Chanel rarely does ‘gift with purchases’ this so this is a nice one for the case. I bought two brush sets and 3 mirrors in different colors. I mainly use Chanel and Dior makeup brushes, so this made sense to me. However, I can understand somebody who doesn’t use or want to use Chanel brushes, then this is a no go. Enjoy your weekend as well.

Can you return it when you opened the packaging? That would never be possible here in Denmark

Yes! Chanel in the US gives us 30 days to return it.
@@Serena_9 I may have touched the brushes but I didn’t use it on my face or on make up. People return clothes all the time with body odors & sweat stains & it goes back on the shelves. Brands will most likely resell it especially if it’s in high demand. But to each their own…

Thank you for making the review and reminding me. I’m still considering brush set because I’m not sure that it’s worth it. It’s cute though😅. I’ve got the ballerina mirror because of the color and the word ballerina 🤣. I love ballet😆. Look for the ballerina brush set but it’s sold out before I could get that. Lucky then I still have time to think and better safe money for another things then (might get a lilac mirror one instead😂)
Hii Kworld! You’re welcome! I try to be realistic/ honest when it comes to outrageous pricy items lol. I still don’t think it’s worth it but to be fair, I decided to keep the brush set in the end. It might be a while for Chanel to come out with something like this again.

you tripping for keeping the mirror over the brushes. the case itself will become a collector item that no one can get again. that mirror will likely fall apart bc it’s plastic. if you can’t justify spending $160 (not that much if you’re buying designer) on Chanel branded leather, but want to keep the mirror just bc it’s more “affordable,” that undermines the purpose of buying designer in the first place. it’s about buying quality pieces, not trying to look like you have money bc you have a chanel mirror. imo 🤍
Hi Anna! Thank you for your comment & concerns. I agree the mirror won’t last a life time but it’s reasonably priced. (Which btw, the color makes a collector item just as well as the brush set)
For the brush set, I understand the case is leather & will be a collector item in the future, however there’s nothing special about the brushes itself. They literally took the unsold brushes, placed it in the case and called it a day. If the brushes match the color case other than black, hell ya it would be worth $160. But to each their own on how one spend their own money. I don’t judge ☺️
