- Shadowflame Crit works on Casters Companion (Ludens item), so that would of been enough to kill Hwei that one time I had Banshees. Other than that Void Staff is now more important because lack of Flat Pen (You would get over 40 Flat Pen with Ludens Mythic Passive). Overall I think the build path that will have the most potential is Stormsurge. I didn't go Storm because I wanted to feel the damage without the delayed effect item because that imo makes it less fun. If you are to be completely optimal Storm is most likely going to be core.

And it if doesn't it still deals like 500+ damage once you blue card them.
I understand the "want to do big number" but stormsurge+caster companion is sooo good for bursting. The other part of stormsurge passive gives you huge AOE damage in team fights as well

i think the storm item is pretty good cause it gives you a lot of kite potential too! (what is it, like 25% extra move speed after damaging for 30%?) Imagine havning to run away from trynd and you just used blue card so no yellow in sight

I feel like you should go Stormsurge regardless. The delayed burst might let you delay-one/two shot a bit tankier enemies and it gives flat pen iirc

Do AD items also give more stats now? What about armor and MR? I feel like it all has to increase, otherwise there'll be too much damage and burst mages will become completely OP.

Do you ever keep track of the cards between picking them? You can continue the rythm of blue-red-yellow in your head to get the right card first without showing the shuffling animation, right? Is it still a thing?

It's just 5 ability haste. Honestly, 250g for only 1 stat and it's 5 ability haste seems bleh. I get that early ability haste is actually better, but 250g seems like a lot. Maybe 100g for that though.

Hwei’s abilities cast so quickly and travel so fast I don’t see a lot of counterplay in his kit. Gonna be interesting playing into him
he still gets squished easily though, he's pretty good but for now he doesn't feel that oppressive

Im thinking that if you could manage mana by blue carding the minions you rush Stormsurge or Lich instead of Caster Companion. Stormsurge gives you pen, is 200 cheaper and has 10 AP more. Stormsurge + Lichbane + DCap as the core build.

Now we know how hwei works, imagine if twisted fate got the same "rework".
After pressing W ability, instead of rotating between cards, your Q W and E will be red/blue/Gold card. What a good qol change that would be. Coordinating w card rotation while cs is probably one of the hardest thing in low elo.
Winrate in low elo would probably skyrocket but would stay nearly if not the same in high elo.
Trade mejais for storm and banshees for void and yeah its probably a one shot on anything under 2500 hp even with mr.
Vs mages you can start with cull lvl 1 then into ap since AD is better for duels before lvl 5
