It went only a little bit better the next time. Aty tried to get it on with Hana (of Kotaro & Hana) and she, uh, reacted badly when he tried to hump her. He had the same reaction as here. But Hana was already in a bad mood that day. They met again later and Hana was friendlier, let him share a bath with her, and then snipped at him when she remembered he wouldn't let her steal his fish. Sad thing is she's still his best shot since Kotaro doesn't want her.

Your advices about keeping an otter are very wise. The way Aty was raised is very special and as you say it has been all love in his life. The thing is that the two otters find a point in common and for that you are there, to guide them and see how to put them together, if the female accepts. Keep an open mind for other possibilities. It seems to be what Aty needs, a couple. Best of lucks and keep us posted!!!!

Aty will have a "love in his life" when Ui matures and lives with him....he really needs a special lady otter of his own.
Ui _should_ be physically matured now but it seems like her growth was stunted/delayed due to all the stress she had to face all her life. _Mental_ maturity, like you say, will take longer. Ui _obviously_ likes Aty, but even she knows deep down she's not ready for mating yet. Small-Clawed Otters are monogamous, so we'll see if she's The One.
