Here's the thing about charachters with an ego, even when they have it you can still make them likeable charachters. For starters it helps ALOT when they can back up their boasting and Dewey's pretty awesome in his own right during adventures. It's also important to show they have other good traits to balance out the ego if their supposed to be good guys. I've seen alot of people give Dewey crap for his ego, but that does'nt make him a bad charachter by just having one and frankly there are charachters with far worse ego's than his that are muuuch more popluar. He does boast but he's still a good kid and has his heart in the right place.

When I’m watching the Sonic movie all I hear is Dewey when I’m watching Ducktales all I hear is Leo and when I’m watching Rottmnt all I hear is Sonic. The fact that all these characters are blue, have the same personality just in a different body, and two of those characters have multiple brothers really doesn’t help.
