Why is it that in Indie films where the protagonist is wearing a gas mask they never have a filter on? After all, the FILTER is the whole point of waring a gas mask...
So if the ability of flight, with vessel having anit-grav (of some sort) as demonstrated at intro start. Why the hell are we shown Cessna with some sort of gestapo type police in post apocalypse world. I love Dust, but please write better.
For a zero budget it was a great little short film. And after watching a considerable amount of these post apocalyptic shorts it is one of the very few that leave you wanting more. Well done.

Horses, mules, and burros-and maybe bicycles will be the transport of the apocalypse. I guess we are so used to being motorized we are not capable of imagining a non motorized world. To me it's just like smoking on a spaceship...kinda ridiculous, but filmmakers can't do without it apparently..
I watched it and didn't even realize I blew through almost 15 minutes. It would be awesome to see something like this go to a full movie! You guys did a great job with this short.
Better by far than most of the "post-apocalyptic" short films I've seen. Good acting, good sets and costumes, realistic weaponry (no Airsoft guns in sight). Not bad at all.
Airsoft guns are more safe, not as costly and no special permits are required to use one for film. Alot of people cause too many problems when you use a real gun and will call the police (people suck); which is why a lot of them use airsoft. Only problem, alot of filmmakers don't understand how to mask them as realistic, they don't put in the extra effort and more often they don't look good on film.

Thank so much, we shot this on the Red Scarlet. I’ve shot mostly on the Panasonic GH series. I have a GH5s now. Now days there are so many good options. The Sony’s are great low light. But with the new Red Komodo that just released for 6k. I would buy that. Good luck on your first film.
Pretty damn good. Intriguing plot, very fine effects, good acting, skilled editing and directing. Suggestion: Take another look at the dialogue; it's a little on-the-nose, and I noticed one or two cliches. One of my pet peeves with post-apocalyptic films, even high-budget ones ('Elysium' comes to mind), is that the characters manage look awfully healthy for living in squalor for years. Here, the refugees look in very good shape, especially the leader (he's hot, BTW): well-muscled, good dentition. The heroine (also hot), in addition, has clean hair and skin; the scar is a nice touch, but as a child she would have suffered more physical problems from malnutrition. But you're obviously a talented group, and this is a really good pitch, more substantive than most of the stuff I see on-line. Keep me posted about your next crowdfunding campaign.

A 1984 Honda Shadow VT500? Bulletproof engine, excellent on gas, comfortable and can ride all day... She's a smart woman. That's definitely an apocalyptic bike that won't fail ya.

Got me engaged with the story right away. Could have used less yelling from the main woman. Also, first she said they were looking for her, them she says they're looking fir all of them? Confusing. But overall I can see a great movie from the creators either with this or another movie.
I like the idea and what was presented with zero budget. I would make a tv show rather than movie for this one. A few tweaks like adding filters to gas mask, when shooting a pistol don't make it seem like your shooting a desert eagle by throwing your hand up, making actors look more dirtier than they did and so on. I see this as a book of eli mixed with mad max without the cars of course but like costume wise and feel. Then build the story correctly and boom not theatre good but could make money for sure.
Only constructive criticism I have is make the device that is supposed to destroy the ship either like a missile launcher or some kind of hand held cannon rather than an artillery thingy. Just makes more sense. Other than that, great job!
Great concept! The story was very compelling. I didn't want it to end. There's a little work to do on the acting and the bad guys could use some clarification, but over all great job! Good luck in your future endeavors. I hope to see the complete movie on the big screen.

This was actually quite good, and left me wanting way more. For the folks, that did not enjoy this clip, too bad, find something you enjoy. Nothing new under the sun really, but done quite well. I have seen remake after remake of plots and story lines, but if it is well done, I am still enjoying it. Kudos to the makers of this neat little clip. This could eventually happen, who knows?

After watching all the "eyes in the sky" above our southern MI farm at night this past year, yeh, this may not be far fetched at all. I worry about all the secrecy from the D0D in the US and the missing trillions of dollars. They've hacked our phones out here, too (discovered D0D ip addresses where they don't belong, tsk tsk) . Why? We're insignificant country folks.

6:00 The man walks up says the scouts got a plane spotted it is about a 100 yards out. did I hear that right? Do they know what a hundred yards is? They using binoculars to see it at 100 yards out? Christ they could have pissed on it from that distance.
@@MuggsMcGinnis well the thing is by the time the man came from the scouts and walked up to him to tell him the news. That plane would have passed by them and been ten miles in the other direction.. They seriously should have said 10 clicks, 5-6 miles or 10 thousand yards. Either would have worked out perfectly taking in to reason it took him a minute to walk out and tell the guy that. Then looking at the plane (without binoculars) as it stormed right over their heads would be almost feasible.

I have watched a great deal of short films, and I never take the time to like or subscribe. This is by far one of the best shorts I have seen in a very, very long time. Great plot, cast, production, and directing. Please do more. And if possible, a film that continues this storyline. :)

I stopped watching @ :35 where there's a woman, alone, riding her motorcycle in the post-apocalyptic world. Another phony (F. E. M. I. N. I. S.T) "entertainment" (propaganda) production that portrays (C. U. NTS) as "strong". Lame.

They seriously should have said 10 clicks, 5-6 miles or 10 thousand yards. Either would have worked out perfectly taking in to reason it took him a minute to walk out and tell the guy that. Then looking at the plane (without binoculars) as it stormed right over their heads would be almost feasible.
I love the realistic portrayal of the state.

goood for a no budget movie only wish it was longer I can seee a posssible series so goood luck in future endevors keeep the spirit flowing you all did a WONDERFUL JOB.
I have watched a great deal of short films, and I never take the time to like or subscribe. This is by far one of the best shorts I have seen in a very, very long time. Great plot, cast, production, and directing. Please do more. And if possible, a film that continues this storyline. :)
Garrett Reynolds - thanks so much we are working on locking down investment and distribution for the feature. The feature script is way better. This was all done in my own budget. So almost all CGI was me and my set designers and Wordrobe were amazing !

I stopped watching @ :35 where there's a woman, alone, riding her motorcycle in the post-apocalyptic world. Another phony (F. E. M. I. N. I. S.T) "entertainment" (propaganda) production that portrays (C. U. NTS) as "strong". Lame.

Most of the time you can take these short films or you can leave them. After watching this short film, I was left asking for more. Ya, there could be a descent movie made from this.......
If you make somthing based on this ,i would definitely watch it.
A good short. Well done for a zero dollar budget.
