honestly, what scares me most about horror games is the music rather than the creature itself, it can be loud horror music like this, or quiet, that scares me, not a jumpscare simulator

Also this video made me discover an aspect of horror that I've never realized how terrifying it is before: Chase music with no chaser
It always keeps you on edge because you KNOW something's lurking somewhere and could show up at anytime, but you don't know when.
It's especially scarier with the chase music since it's not directly a planned chase script with a certain trigger sequence or anything once the monster had already seen you.

Modders really need to stop with the obnoxiously loud chase themes and stinger sounds for these horror mods. They're annoying, they hurt my ears, they take me out of the experience, and are not scary in the slightest. Put a little more focus on subtlety and tension building instead of cheap jumpscares, and maybe I'll consider downloading your mod.

But this doesn't, the chase music immediately breaks immersion, and is legitimately painful. The only thing scary would be your medical bill, after the doctors cure your ruptured eardrums.
That and the AI is pretty shit.
