Motion pro makes a really cool piece of kit to jam up gears as well. It’s called a gear jammer. Pretty easy for someone of your skill to make but cheap enough to just buy.
Regarding drilling the oil feed hole bigger, wouldn't that diminish the pressure? I'm curious about this and could make an argument either way- bigger hole as you did gives more volume, OR small hole gives more pressure equaling better lubrication. Dunno???
Try to find ceramic beads instead of glass ones. They don't break on impact like glass, which on soft alloys can lead to tiny microscopic shards of glass embedded in the metal... Not great.

Would this set up fit on a stock xr100 set up? Like no modification other than on engine/trans?
If you heat the cases to 400F and freeze the bearings you don't need to tap them at all they will fall in

It's running a larger pump so same pressure.
