Yes you can go on your own without any organizers, there are lots of homestays in and around Samse, check Google maps around samse and you can choose any homestay of your taste
Look for homestays in samse and didupe road, there's lot of homestays

You can go till the samse circle, remaining last 3km patch is full offroad, have to go in jeep or pickup
Which one best nethravathi or kuthramukka?
Both are great and offer different Trails
Netravathi Trek is bit easy when compared to Kudremukha trek

Yes with one Reservation booking 3 people can trek but the money will be same. We did 2 reservations and 6 people went on the trek
