This was a great show. I've seen GBS a number of times over the years, but never seen Alan as a solo act. Great show, warts and all, at one of my favorite venues.
Alan is one of the few people that could create a concert around a sound check, aaaaand have it completely entertaining! Everyone in the room is there and is a part of his show. The rest of the band is professional enough to just let him roll with it and to keep him from going off the rails. Which sometimes, not gonna lie, it gets close. haha
So how long for the queue for the make outs??? lol Can soooo relate to the catholic school dance thing. Nuns always told us that there should be enough room between for Jesus and never sit on a boys lap unless there were a yellow pages phone book there ... Australian yellow pages were about 25cm thick.
