- A City of Tears & Soul Sanctum/Master remix from Hollow Knight, commissioned by Shmarfle47. Funny story, I got to the very end of this game but couldn't bring myself to beat it because it was so good and I didn't want it to end. Fast forward 1.5 years later, I haven't touched it since then and am at 91%. I might just replay through the entire thing instead since it's been so long (and maybe even stream it?👀)

I’ve beat the game ages ago. Just something about his theme being the ultimate climax of the City of Tears and Soul Sanctum themes really got me hooked and I think his boss fight is fun. Guess we have different opinions and that’s fine

as annoying as the city of tears can be to traverse, and as difficult as the enemies in the soul sanctum are, both of those areas have such a pure and mysterious atmosphere that nearly nothing else in the game can match, at least imo
It's one of my favorite places in the game It had such a great atmosphereic nature to it.

I bought it the day it came out on switch. Had been interested in it since dunkey mentioned it in one of his videos, but I wanted to wait for the switch version. Now my 6th favorite game of all time, it might get beat out by fire emblem three houses though.

I love the queens gardens.
Queens gardens are nice. If it wasn't for the enemies, it'd probably be up there in my favourites too.
I especially liked that bench with the music player next to it, which I also sadly broke on my first playthrough lmao.

long ago,in the far off year of 2016(maybe 2018),i saw the announcement of silksong,which resulted in me picking up hollow knight. around that time,i was still suffering from grief as that was around the time my great grandma died. listening to this track... it reminded me of her. eventually,i reached deepnest,and fearing what came next,i quit for a while. but after I defeated nosk... i felt like I had defeated a god. there would be many more trials,but at long last,I was liberated. thank you,retrospecter...
