Bob, really good to see these again. Like Russell, below, I had the Zorro set, along with Fort Apache, a Blue & Gray Civil War set, a Battleground set and an American Revolution set also with a plastic stockade. All of mine were given to my much younger cousins by my mother when I went away to college in 1968.
One question which set came with the lawnmower? Ha!

Those Blue cavalry soldiers are MPC. The Red Indians are Marx reissues. The cabin was also MPC.

Hi Ray Thanks for the info and Yes you are absolutely correct!!!!! they are MPC's which I would learn a bit later after the vid. :) at the time I was just getting into collecting toy soldiers, I learned that through out the years Marx was bought and sold to three different companies, Marx sold his company to Quaker Oats, Then Quaker sold to Dunbee-Combex which went bankrupt. The remains of the company were taken into custodial care by Chemical Bank, the bank covering the bankruptcy issue. In 2019, Jay Horowitz of American Classic Toys, and current rights holder of the Marx brands, entered into an exclusive license agreement with The Juna Group to represent the Marx brands in all categories outside of toys and playthings, worldwide. In 2021, the Marx brands were sold to The Nacelle Co. What I learned was that many of the smaller toy companies rented the molds from the owners of the molds. Some companies like MPC under Horowitz made those blue cavalry troops I was showing in this video. It would seem that the WW2 German Molds are lost to antiquity as well as the Marx Cavalry molds. Once again THANKS RAY :) for the input and visiting hope to see you more.

One tip... never, ever place plastic soldiers in sunlight. Sun will make you figurines extremelly fragile and not possible to repeir.

A few of my solders got caught in the lawn mower. Tried to keep them off the grass and away from the dog who would chew them

Wonderful collection Bob! I think the white German soldier from the end of the video Re from the Navarone Playset. I had/have that one and they came with that Marx set. Thanks for sharing!

We had the Zorro set. Same walls as the Alamo. The Building inside had a stair case that attached to the wall. I think the solders were from the Alamo. You got models of the TV characters. The kids in the neighborhood had most of these sets. I guess they all ended up junked.

The Zorro set looks awesome, sadly a lot of those sets ended up in the garbage. I had Fort Apache for a xmass gift. I got the battle ground set by trading a remote control GI Joe tank I picked up in the trash while delivering papers. The tank was huge and the full size GI Joes fit in the tank.

My father passed his Fort Apache set to me when I was a kid in the ‘80s. It was already missing pieces and got a lot of heavy use from me indoors and outdoors. Sadly only the frontiersmen survive. I’ve never seen the other sets you showed, but they look really good.
