What a stunning motorcycle and refurbishment job. Loved the Suzuki GT 380 but unfortunately never had one ... The GT 550 is a beauty too ... I refurbished a Yamaha XT 250 2 years ago, not so professional as you do but the best I could do ... However as I don't know much about electric I looked for a work shop to build in the new cable tree but nobody wanted to do that. ... Since some month the Suzuki GT 380 again is in my mind to buy but there were not much sold in Europe and I guess that parts are hardly to find. Have a great weekend, Christian.
Fantastic series of videos. I rebuilt my 1979 Z650 over lockdown which convinced my wife that having me out of the house was a good idea and I've just bought a 1975 US import GT550 and a (probably 1970 - I haven't dated it yet) T350 - both of which models I owned back in the 70s. I'm going to do the 550 first. Can I contact you to find out who you used for crankshaft/vapour blasting/chrome/zinc/etc etc?
Ello Mr Higgs what are your opinions regarding the barrels I didnt see which ones these are..... but the later nikasil ones with the so called schnuerle ports compared with the steel lined earlier ones and the do they make much of a difference?
Higgys love you're video series on the Suzuki GT550. Fantastic quality rebuild and you know you're stuff. I would like to find a similar bike that requires a rebuild, but my knowledge on bikes is nothing! would you consider carrying out the work as a private client if it wasn't too much to do? or any help would be appreciated. cheers Phil.
Higgspeed Exhaust??? I would like an explanation of your header pipe ?? Before the expansion.. because it seems to me that it's not the proper way ?? I've built a few pipes and they are curved and slowly tapered which is the best way to do this.. your expansion looks good but the header is horrible to look at
