Great video Lee, these cases are beautifully made with its purpose well suited with physical appearance.. the main fact is silent cooling.. which is an important factor By the way, Lee do check out Crimson OS.. I have emailed u regarding all the stuff .. with releases and user credentials as a separate email previously. Your review would mean a lot to the Crimson Team who has put a tremendous effort in making this OS along with the public who will find a new 64 but operating system for their pis. Thank you, Whenever you get time, Pradyot Pachore
Lee great looking case for a great video . Next you have to attach a couple of thermal pads to you tea /coffee cup so can warmer for your favorite liquid …😊! Have a great day!
If that case got hot enough, you could brand cattle with it. However I don't know who would want to pay as much for a case as they paid for their Pi (or over 3X if you buy one of their copper Pi 4 cases), especially considering that you're not going to be able to use an NVME drive with it.
I bought an original 52Pi Mini Tower Kit......before the inclusion of the nvme board AND adding the board means it won't fit into the mini tower case......well not natively at least.....in the wild I have undertaken some hill billy PC mods and it now "fits" albeit somewhat awkwardly and a bit mish mash so i'm looking for a replacement.......
It would be interesting to have a comparison with the board being vertical, both bare and in the case. The convection should work considerably better, especially when bare.
Impressive cooling solution. But wondering why the RP1 chip has no thermal contact to the heatsink as it is showing a 5°C higher temperature than the main processor on your test. The official active cooler does have a thermal pad for the RP1 chip. I would prefer to see the RP1 chip cooling by the heatsink as well.
It looks like I may be in the minority but the wavey design is not my cup off tea. In fact I think it spoils the design. I like the shiney all alloy aspect of the design but I would rather the fins were more angular.😁
why would you use wifi if you have gigabit ethernet? the only problem i see is the bluetooth over time i guess rpi should add external antenna headers or something
I would 100% buy one of these IF i can get the NVME drive inside the case.....most pl are going to boot from the NVME right? the whole idea? No? well for me at least but I understand the necessity for plug and play nvme access but really? If the nvme drive is external and bare it detracts from the beauty of the case....IMO
That is absoutley stunning. And so glad ETA prime got me on to you.

Those cases are SO beautiful, I'm so getting one!!

It would be hard to duplicate THAT brand! :)
this Desalvo case is Beautiful, I would buy it, instead Deco Art
The most beautiful cases.
Impressive. Now get me one with room for ssd
I like a 100% recyclable case.

btw what particular camera are you using, great shots of the Desalvo case, looks near enough professional!
iPhone 11 Pro Max
@@leepspvideo Thank you 😃😃
You can see he is using a phone. An iPhone I think.
The Big Block is Back.

There's a clear slot for the NVME ribbon as well, presumably there will be (is) an additional part to house the SSD ?
My thought too. It would have to be another external box, even if it looks as good as that pi case it’s a no from me.
I want it cause it’s pretty. Don’t even care if I don’t need it 😂 what a beast.
A beautiful crown to adorn the head of the new SBC king.

Would be cool to see this compared to a Flirc case. I know this is visually attractive but for functionality and price.
I skipped a lot of parts in this video, except fort the temperatures, so... ...was the pi5 overclocked when you tested the sbc?
❤
Bluetooth Test?
Max distance for reliable operation of keyboard & mouse.
I use the more common rf mouse / trackpad with a dongle
How do you use the RPi's WiFi inside a metal box..... sigh.... design over form....
It works, but signal is less. I use Ethernet
why would you use wifi if you have gigabit ethernet?
the only problem i see is the bluetooth
over time i guess rpi should add external antenna headers or something
Memory chips to cool makes no sense? Just asking
I don’t understand the question. I think the results were impressive
I used thermal imaging to see exactly what was getting hot on the Pi 5 boards. The memory really did not heat up to a large degree in my testing.
No M2 OR SSD support?
There is space for the pcie cable
@@leepspvideo Space ? So external AND bare?

you are completely correct....it looks like no other case.....since its so hideous looking.
Monsterblock, 🤣👎
suprise face reveal? lol
He has shown his face on the channel before but when I saw it for the first time I wasn't expecting it to show up😂
