Excellent artist. got into him in college, when he was first debuting. This was one of the hottest college albums during my freshman year. He changed up his sound a lot over the years but he remains awesome
Wow finally somebody reacting to iron & wine! You gotta check out “trapeze swinger” like everyone else is saying. It’s my favorite song of all time. Also to ”bird stealing bread”
I also never heard of Iron and Wine and I also thought that this is a band instead of a solo artist. Interesting story on how he changed his name and cool to stay incognito like you said. It is a soothing song. The music is nice and the lyrics tell a story. You guys did an excellent job analyzing this song. Shawn and Trey, i agree with your ratings of 7.5. A unique song selection by Paul.
Yes there are several artists in the 2000's that go by names you would think were a band. I never knew that until we started doing the channel but is a smart way to somewhat stay private. Thanks Poet!
Ah, a reaction to my favourite band :) Please also check out the Trapeze Swinger by Iron & Wine, one of the most poetic songs ever And greetings from Germany :)
Hi Kev, that auto-tune whisper is actually his sister Sarah singing backing vocals. It's so subtle - and harmonises with Sam the way only siblings can!
Sam's songs are full of wonderful poetic imagery. I don't always understand it, but it's always in service of the story and mood.
Thanks for Watching!
Iron & Wine's Flightless Bird, American Mouth is honestly one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard
Sounds like we need to check that out then. Thanks 1975!
Love this song..
He has a couple of albums I really loved during album draft series.
I've never seen a person that matches their voice more than Sam.
He is great! Thanks Kirk!

@@ReactionsToTheClassics Yes, I agree with the idea of an artist wanting to use a different name.

Trapeze Swinger is amazing Johannes - you should check out the cover version of it on youtube by Gregory Alan Isakov
Such a sad song.
Agreed, so much of his stuff is like this!
You guys should review Michael Jackson's Dangerous Album, History Album, and his Invincible Album.
We will at some point. Thanks!
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Your welcome
