EA really hasn't changed their graphics in years.
The graphics are good enough to make a great game. What EA has needed to work on for at least the last 15 years is the gameplay, animations, and straight up dumb way the game reacts. Idk how to make games but I'm sure there is talent out there that could do a better job.
