Hi I’m Japanese carat. I believe this song is about a dream that is coming true for seventeen and fans. They are singing about a beautiful dream they’ve been dreaming every night where it’s illustrated as being in a galaxy surrounded by a lot of beautiful stars(fans). And after waking up, they don’t remember the details but know and are determined that they want to be “a star” like a beautiful star in the galaxy as in a successful artist star (btw “star” in Japanese is pronounced “hoshi” and the fact Hoshi is singing this part makes me cry).
So they’ve been working so hard for it to the point where they don’t even know if they are chasing or being chased. On the way, many things happened (countless stars they passed by) and looking back, every people they met and every experience they had was so precious. Then recently the dream is becoming more and more realistic and realise it’s no longer a dream (finally they meet “you” not in a dream but in reality).
Woozi mentioned that he wrote this song for their first Japan dome tour. Like they’ve been dreaming for this and it’s finally coming true.

I just wanted to say.. with the amount of the mv you hv checked, you really understand them and their art to personal level! Thank you so much. Seventeen songs compositions is of course is svt and carats pride but the lyrics man.. its their story! Not one pieces of their songs is not meaningful to the carat. Their main goal when writing music is to match listener mood and weather. So you may not vibe to all of their songs, but some will hit you in the right moment of your life given you didnt prefer the song.. may it be the lyrics or just the melody itselfs. Thank you for your lyrics breakdown cuz it so fun seeing myself in you guys gushing over the song meanings and excited with the intepretations lol..
Seventeen kick off this year with theme “Team SVT” cuz this is the year where they will be back on road and broadcast seeing the fans after pandemic.
Started with darling acts as neutral catalyst for them to reset (symbolizing re-signing their contract), they stomp with Hot ( face the sun album listen will help on their journey and determinations and their fears and feeling along the way. Must listen in orders so you can see their storyline lol), rise from the ash into the new “_world” (sector 17 additional track will show the full circle of life journey when listen from back to front and otherwise) solidifying carats that its okay what haters said about us, lets live our own world, filling the space infront the song title to whatever fits the listener, and closing with japan release “Dream”.. of finally being able to perform at Dome tour. Initially supposed to have it on 2020 but the pandemic hits. Their predebut dream are finally happening. That is why this song is so bittersweet and hearttouching cuz its actually their sharing their old time dream is getting fulfilled and after travelling the world meeting carats, they are finally at their highest point of their longtime dream.

We love groups like svt because we can relate with them and feel their emotions in their songs/lyrics. Thats probably why were able to understand them even tho we dont know them as well still but thats why we love Seventeen! They have meaning and we can feel their journey thru their music.

One theory is that one of seventeen’s long time dream is a Japan dome tour and at Tokyo dome too. They originally were supposed to have it in 2020 but unfortunately the pandemic hit. This year, they have finally been able to see this dream come true. Yesterday, they finally had the first day of their japan dome tour. It is also 3 years after the last time they went to japan for the purpose of a tour (ode to you world tour). Finally their dream has come true and also finally after 3 years, they’re seeing Japanese carats again for tour 😊 I’m so happy for seventeen and the Japanese carats!
+ just my impression but the art work that Cheol is holding kind of looks like them standing on a stage for a dome
+ I think parts of the mv is inspired by Alice in wonderland. There are some things that reminds me of Alice in wonderland. Also Alice does wake up from a dream at the end.

Nice job, Andy and Jas! But let's get serious - you have to watch one of their performance videos. There is nothing like their choreography. Hoshi is a genius, and they have 13 incredible dancers.

Oh man, I really would love it if you get into their Music (and content). They have some great, meaningful lyrics -- which i know you guys like-- and incredible vocals and performances.

It followed them on them during a world tour a couple years ago
