You don’t even know the nostalgia I get from this. I have a lot of memory loss due to a brain disease, but when I see/hear the sims 1, everything comes back. Some of my best memories as a child was playing this with my cousins. So much fun. Thank you for doing this. The music just brings me back, certain objects, certain phrases they speak, just immaculate. I miss this game. Damn. This took me back to 2003 where I would beg my sisters to play Sims but said I wasn’t old enough. So I would sneak down to the basement to play on our fat cubed computer and since then, I am a HUGE sims fan lol 😂 and not my sisters haha. So weird it can take you back like that.

This game bring me so much memories and emotions. Sims 1 had a huge impact on my childhood life. Its making me more want to go back to my past, where I'm still innocent. As a kid who only stays at home and doesn't have much of a friends, sims gives me comfort. I will play until my mom will call me to have dinner with my family. I miss those days. Yeah. I didn't understand why people would watch gameplays... Until i saw Sims' ones. Some literally do things i wouldn't think of, others just remind me that I have to just let Sims4 behind (it has become unplayable) and go back to the older Sims 😂. God the nostalgia … I first got the original at Christmas 2000 when I was in 6th grade. And I was immediately hooked by my 12th birthday because I got House Party and Livin Large 🤣 I used to love making up stories and uploading them to the Sims Exchange and downloading people’s cool houses and custom made wallpapers. I never knew how people could do custom decor. And in Create a Sim, I totally forgot about the “nice” meter 🤣 they’ve come a really long way in terms of graphics and skins and clothes and whatnot. A lot of people hate Sims 4 but I’m actually enjoying it! But nothing will ever replace the hours I spent on the old Dell Desktop in my parents house, playing the first game. I think my first family was the Johannsen’s or something lol.

I still have the original CD of the Sims 1, I got it when I was 7-8 years old, my parents bought it with all the expansions around 2006 and I played it non-stop. It was my first computer game and I have so many good memories of it even though it creeped me out every time someone came to steal. This is the game that made me love the sims.

I remember when my mom brought a copy of the Sims 1 with some expansion packs from her coworker and gave it to me. I didn't know how to build walls at first and let my Sims live under the open sky lol. I remember my first fire, my first pet, my first vacation trip, the first time I saw a ghost and it scared crap out of me and also those creepy phone pranks, the sad clown and scary music playing randomly in the middle of the night... This game is so calming and magical. I've spent hours and hours playing it. It was a simpler time... No worries and stress just playing this masterpiece after school and enjoying every minute of it
I have it on my laptop, windows 11, and it works great. I don't remember exactly how I got it, but I just googled it and someone else's instructions helped me out a lot.
My brother came home one weekend with this game his friend let him borrow and I remember being so confused on how to build a house, the functions, the game itself and what it meant. Even after Many years ago the nostalgia of this game is something I can’t put into words. The music, the visuals, me trying to understand sim language and so much more. I remember it, me and my sisters loved to play this. For Hours, spend the whole evening with creating Sims, building huge Houses we cant afford without cheats and just doing crazy Stuff and experiments. It was pretty easy and really good. The Music that comes when a Ghost appears still scares the shit out of me, or even the Sound of the "Thief" arrives. The horror we went through, while we were watching how he stole our Expensiv stuff, the Police, who arrived allways to late and even when he arrived he lost every Time to the Thief. The Fire that came out of Nowhere, because our Sims was not Educated Enough to Cook a goddamn Egg! The Nostalgia hits really hard! I thank you for the Upload, even when it was 3 years ago. It came randomly on my TH-cam feed and Im glad it did!

Same approach I still use to this day when playing Sims 3/4. Tho I miss 1, and prefer 2. Money cheat on lot. Then move to a better house. I even go in edit mode and fix whatever house/lot I want prior to moving in.

I remember buying so many custom skins and objects from websites in the 2000s for this. My game crashed so many times too because there were issues with the downloads. The nostalgia is insane. The game was so incredibly fun...I had everything up to the Unleashed (the pets) expansion pack, then after a while, my computer died, so I lost everything. Later on, I got one of the Sims games for Xbox, but it just wasn't as expansive and fun. I wish the entire computer version would be made for Mac or something now. I would love to play again.

I remember downloading some of those mods. That rustic and white dining room is real life goals. This is the type of game you play to avoid your crappy problems while tweaking your goals lol. Same reason I like racing simulators. Gets the gears cranking. 💡
I am somehow getting touched by these Sims 1 videos, i need to get to play this game again 😢 there's no other like it - with its elegantness and tragicness.
Also, my cousin and I would be taking turns playing this game for HOURS until 4 in the morning. We would give advice on house renovations, make suggestions about furniture and decor. We would always argue about parenting skill when it came to a crying baby and would be burying at least 3 of our 4 kids in the backyard cemetery due to fires that never got put out. And I’ll never forget being a wreck when child services came taking my kids 😂😂😂 what a time to be alive lol

Damn. This took me back to 2003 where I would beg my sisters to play Sims but said I wasn’t old enough. So I would sneak down to the basement to play on our fat cubed computer and since then, I am a HUGE sims fan lol 😂 and not my sisters haha. So weird it can take you back like that.

This game bring me so much memories and emotions. Sims 1 had a huge impact on my childhood life. Its making me more want to go back to my past, where I'm still innocent. As a kid who only stays at home and doesn't have much of a friends, sims gives me comfort. I will play until my mom will call me to have dinner with my family. I miss those days. Some literally do things i wouldn't think of, others just remind me that I have to just let Sims4 behind (it has become unplayable) and go back to the older Sims 😂. I will try to get used discs and resuscitate one of my older computers

God the nostalgia … I first got the original at Christmas 2000 when I was in 6th grade. And I was immediately hooked by my 12th birthday because I got House Party and Livin Large 🤣 I used to love making up stories and uploading them to the Sims Exchange and downloading people’s cool houses and custom made wallpapers. I never knew how people could do custom decor. And in Create a Sim, I totally forgot about the “nice” meter 🤣 they’ve come a really long way in terms of graphics and skins and clothes and whatnot. A lot of people hate Sims 4 but I’m actually enjoying it! But nothing will ever replace the hours I spent on the old Dell Desktop in my parents house, playing the first game. I think my first family was the Johannsen’s or something lol.

I still have the original CD of the Sims 1, I got it when I was 7-8 years old, my parents bought it with all the expansions around 2006 and I played it non-stop. It was my first computer game and I have so many good memories of it even though it creeped me out every time someone came to steal. This is the game that made me love the sims.

Sorry for my grammar if something I'm not an English speaker but oooh my... This music and sounds bring back so many good childhood memories. I remember when my mom brought a copy of the Sims 1 with some expansion packs from her coworker and gave it to me. I didn't know how to build walls at first and let my Sims live under the open sky lol. I remember my first fire, my first pet, my first vacation trip, the first time I saw a ghost and it scared crap out of me and also those creepy phone pranks, the sad clown and scary music playing randomly in the middle of the night... This game is so calming and magical. I've spent hours and hours playing it. It was a simpler time... No worries and stress just playing this masterpiece after school and enjoying every minute of it

I have it on my laptop, windows 11, and it works great. I don't remember exactly how I got it, but I just googled it and someone else's instructions helped me out a lot.
My brother came home one weekend with this game his friend let him borrow and I remember being so confused on how to build a house, the functions, the game itself and what it meant. Even after Many years ago the nostalgia of this game is something I can’t put into words. The music, the visuals, me trying to understand sim language and so much more. sims 1 music relaxes me instantaneously. hopefully I can reach a point of my life where I can be as constantly relaxed as I am listening to this music.
I remember it, me and my sisters loved to play this. For Hours, spend the whole evening with creating Sims, building huge Houses we cant afford without cheats and just doing crazy Stuff and experiments. It was pretty easy and really good. The Music that comes when a Ghost appears still scares the shit out of me, or even the Sound of the "Thief" arrives. The horror we went through, while we were watching how he stole our Expensiv stuff, the Police, who arrived allways to late and even when he arrived he lost every Time to the Thief. The Fire that came out of Nowhere, because our Sims was not Educated Enough to Cook a goddamn Egg!

Same approach I still use to this day when playing Sims 3/4. Tho I miss 1, and prefer 2. Money cheat on lot. Then move to a better house. I even go in edit mode and fix whatever house/lot I want prior to moving in.

This is really comforting to me. Just like playing Tiny Life. They both give off similar vibes, in my opinion. I'd love to see you play a bit of that too, but only if it's fun for you. I understand the pixel art isn't for everyone, but it has some Sims 1 vibes for sure.
I remember seeing the sims 1 in stores I begged my mom to buy me the game except I didn’t own a pc during that time 😂. When I bought the sims 2 in 2007 I was super excited and played all night. Also the sims 1 furniture looked very realistic comparing to the sims 4 cartoonish furnitures.

I remember buying so many custom skins and objects from websites in the 2000s for this. My game crashed so many times too because there were issues with the downloads. The nostalgia is insane. The game was so incredibly fun...I had everything up to the Unleashed (the pets) expansion pack, then after a while, my computer died, so I lost everything. Later on, I got one of the Sims games for Xbox, but it just wasn't as expansive and fun. I wish the entire computer version would be made for Mac or something now. I would love to play again.

Also, my cousin and I would be taking turns playing this game for HOURS until 4 in the morning. We would give advice on house renovations, make suggestions about furniture and decor. We would always argue about parenting skill when it came to a crying baby and would be burying at least 3 of our 4 kids in the backyard cemetery due to fires that never got put out. And I’ll never forget being a wreck when child services came taking my kids 😂😂😂 what a time to be alive lol
