Last year, things happened and I ended up getting the City V Sensing as my first car. Couldn't resist the end of year discount 😅. For now, I don't have much to complain about this car. Drives well. Can acah2 Tesla with Honda Sensing during balik kampung. S mode with paddle shifters is my favourite feature. The way it holds the gear just very nice. Btw, I really looking forward to join you guys during weekend drives soon.

Been using this car for 4 days. Loves everything about it except for the land watch feature. I mean the idea is fantastic, but the fact that the infotainment is lower than the eye level makes it a lil... ehmm... if it is a floating infotainment, it'll make it way better for sure. and also the camera quality tho... haha... but overall it is worth it as there're more pros than cons.
I think the infotainment looks like aftermarket fitting? it may looks floating but like 1 inch bigger, so thus it looks like aftermarket install

Based on regular opinion, seems like Vios has better NVH and more comfortable ride quality.
Though city has better acceleration and more room, and nicer interior.
Let Bobby confirm if this is correct as i think he had driven both
City VSense owner here. Overall I really satisfied for this car. For segment B car, its really really served well.

The reason for the rear floor to be slanted up and not being able to slide your feet under the front seat is because the Honda city’s fuel tank is located under the front seats instead of the rear like any other cars in the market.
Oh really? Then, nothing under the rear seat? Why Honda designed it that way? This is interesting.
It’s for maximising space, that’s how they get their signature rear leg room comparable to cars 2 segments above (D segment)

@@BobbyAngmalaysia yeah true, reviews are supposed to be honest, at the very least fair. I hope you get the Civic V spec... If you get the RS in white... OMG so ugly. The special RS black trims are really ugly, not to mention the tiny ducktail. Accord rims looks better than the RS... That said, Civic RS in black saves it.

@@8823701 the rims on it's own is beautiful, probably great on the Black Civic. Just not on the White Civic. Not sure what went wrong, in my eyes the rims make the car look cheap or was it the brakes look small. Then again, I am probably biased towards silver/tungsten/alloy color rims because you can see the rims better. 😆

No blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert and camera parking system but only poor resolution lanewatch while Vios and Almera already got blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert and camera parking system instead of lanewatch.

Why my father Honda City brake doesn't bite properly.. last year after 1st service at Honda 3s, at the setapak highway the brake not responding and I hampir langgar a hilux , so I tarik the handbrake to make the car slowdown.. when back to 3s center they said brake system no issue at all..
And about the driving, its so creepy and floaty when I drove it outstation to JB.. when I at 80kmh speed I feel like I'm at 100-120kmh, while at 100kmh I feel like 140kmh+, the car is so so so floaty and creepy at high speed.. compare to Nissan almera 1.0T or Vios its give me more confidence at high speed driving..
But, this Honda city is really comfort and convenience for daily use , its comfort when driving around housing area, its interior compartment design are all so user friendly and make sense. And also the price is more affordable compare to its competitors..
Overall, don't like its braking feeling and handling.
and (sometime on the road peoples just don't like Honda City don't know why, I will get more "bullies" on the road when I driving Honda City or Axia than when I drive another brand cars😮💨)

I did check out the new City at showroom, I prefer this design than previous transformer which I felt very cliche design Transformer kan , it aint Like the ironman Audi R8-ish so I like the Zippiness of city, lightness as you said and the no frills. i had the 05 vtec city very long
If my mind serves me right, I tot the old City felt more atas than recent City models but think this new one design is the best even I would consider getting a base one for my run of the mill cars
City GM6 looks better than new City. Rear tailights for City look like BMW and front and interior also not so nice.
i'm not really die hard fan on china brand...but when you looking geely emgrand (in anytime soon proton will rebadge on it)...the quality sure will be far away than this due to the economy of scale volume...but honda always good in interior maximize the space and powertrain good performance but also fuel economy....if geely/proton manage with good fuel consumption more reliable sure it will take some portion of market share B segment sedan to compete with Vios and City

Add on: lots of quality issues and going to service center but problems cannot end. Even many new city owners are also complaining many quality issues such as steering rack, rubber lining, honda cvt, minor rattling from dashboard and others.
I own this exact same spec and colour City 2021 , and what he says is quite true . Car feels study and premium and spacious for this segment, acceleration is above average , doesn’t feel like a cheap car at all honestly , the quality is leaning towards Mazda standards than Toyota standards . BMW fans love the rear look of the City because it looks like the new 3 series , and turning on daytime running front lights only at night makes the car look so aggressive and sporty looking
Quality like Mazda? But there are many honda owners including new city owner are facing many issues such as steering rack, rubber lining, honda cvt, minor rattling from dashbord and others. Even civic FE owners are also facing issues such as wind noises and alignment. Even civic buyer also complained about body more like tin milo and also loose parts for rear aircond. Besides, My HRV 2019 owner still can’t able to solve issues such as steering rack, power window and honda cvt. Also, another owner that owned same year as mine but worst still listed 22 parts such as wind noises, rattle noises and others. Going to service center but problems cannot end.
@@juck2263 yes quality is almost like Mazda in terms of materials used for their latest car models, those issues that you have mentioned I have not encountered before at all. Of course those people who had good experience with the car wouldn’t go all the way to forums to praise it , only those who have problems only go to Honda community forum to complain about their problems, those are the minority, not majority
But when you go to service center many times, problems are major. Even, quality issues also cannot end problems, also major. It is not minor. Honda used to be par as Mazda and Toyota but now Honda is now longer as par as Mazda and Toyota. Again, even there are many Honda owners are still disappointed about honda quality and service center
well your car quite new so obviously u wont see any major issue .. i own C segment Honda cars buy it 2017 and steering rack already problem .. and what's make it sad it's unclaimable although my mileage only 50k atm (2021) .. had to spend thousand of ringgit to repair the steering rack .. and that is only one of 3 major isssue .. i start having cvt jerking and decided to sell the car (because my father keep punishing me verbally for buying honda instead of reliable brand).. Im quite happy cause the value still okay even cvt already wanna K.O hahah

My uncle is selling his 2018 honda civic full spec, only driven 40000km till this year, he is selling for 95k. Another 1 1/2 year the loan fin. Should i go for the new Honda City (RM84,000 spec) , X50 Premium, or my uncle 2018 Honda Civic full spec?

This one is truly a good car but fit would be more appropriate due to its back folding down seat can basically camp behind a fit but not possible with city….. since I am upgrading mine current Maserati gt to a Gallardo soon highly considering a Honda Fit as a second daily car here in SG oh well unlike your third world Malaysia situation SG new Honda Fit is going at 100k sgd 300k rm inclusive of coe sadly if possible I still highly prefer to rotate between public transport and mine Gallardo depending on how usable mine soon to be Gallardo will lasts heard it’s very reliable overseas many use them quite often so I have high hope on that extreme true beauty.

This car is using low quality plastic door trim and worst of all, uneven door gap and wide bonnet gap. Vios or new Almera definitely better than this car. Well, forgot to mention about the bad nvh of this City, worst among other brands.
