man your channel is so awesome, it has really inspired me to get back into hardware (used to have a voyager xl, a bunch of mooger foogers and 9u euro). thanks for your tunes, I love em
Really nice. I love music that evolves and is ever changing and long yet set upon a progression. You can work to music like this. I think the future will be more of music like this and less about standard song structure. I hope so.
I love it all. All your moog pieces. So beautiful. It does trigger my GAS though. Once I heard of modulars, I said to myself “I hardly have the money and surely not the time to learn and play those.” This setup seems quiet self-contained though. with some reverb and delay which I could just get out of my Digitakt / Digitone. Hmm, it’s hard to resist.
Thanks so much! Understand, my advice is always to learn and push the capabilities of one instrument to its fullest instead of just buying to fill the gaps. This is one of the reasons I primarily focus on this system now. Putting away all other gear to not get distracted. Digitakt / Digitone are crazy powerful. I’ve hear wonderful ambient pieces composed using just them. Hope that helps!
These videos are amazing. Congrats for the sounds and shot. One question: what kind color/light adjustments did you apply to the video for that contrast and mood? Thanks!
Do you have to have an separate pedal effect for each one or can you run all three through one pedal? I got the sound studio 3 this week and learning synth for first time. Using Walrus Audio R-1 on Mother but want it on others too. This patch is wonderful.
Thank you! Glad you like it. I have an analog mixer (off screen) which has some Aux sends, three sends to be exact, so I can mix the amount of send for each synthesizer separately.
I listen to these all the time. Hoping to finally pull the trigger on the sound studio this summer. Do you put all three through the same effect chain, or do you use individual effects per sound source?
Would you ever consider a video showing your patch set up? I have the same rig, and I’m still trying to figure out how to make it behave and would love to have a better sense of how you’ve done it. The generative is so mysterious to me. Also, d o you run all your outputs through the pedal or just some?
Hi there, I definitely think some 'how-to videos' in the future would be helpful for others, so I'll definitely consider it, just need to get into that sort of thing! So the reverb, delay, and MOOD sits on aux channels (as sends) through a small analog console. I adjusted the mix amount for those according to taste. All of this runs into a reel-to-reel tape machine for added warmth and texture.
@@ab85music great warm sounds. What kind of mixer do you use? I have my moog ss3 into a focusrite interface then to ableton, but think an outboard mixer might be better. Thx
So inspiring!!! Well done!!! How do u do this? I would really like to do the same with ableton, any suggestions (not sound design, i mean structure/process)?? Thank u keep working 💪
Thanks, glad you like it! I route all three synths to an analog mixer with individual sends (Aux) for the pedals (my effects chain, reverb, delay, texturiser.) this all gets recorded to either tape then Ableton, or just straight into Ableton. Compression and limiting are all done using various plugins found in Plugin Alliance's MEGA Bundle.
Es tut mir Leid, dass dein Hologram Microcosm den Geist aufgegeben hat. Ich plane, das Holy Trio im Feb. zu holen. Dazu muss natürlich das passende Effektgeräte her.
Reel to Reel ist natürlich klass. Apollo bittet eine Reel to Reel ähnliche Lösung allerdings als Software. Funkt aber auch gut. Freue mich auf deine nächsten Werke. 🤝
Thank you for showing me that MOOG can be used to make such emotional and beautiful sounds ;)
This patch sounds so great! I love the subtle sounds of DFAM far in the background, very classy.
Pleased to hear that, thanks for listening! ☺️🙏
so beautiful and mesmerizing
Thank you!

Amazing track right in the Ambient lane man, pleasure to listen to
Thank you! Much appreciate it!
Wow this is really good!
Thank you! 😊🙏
@@ab85music Can you explain what is the deal with reel-to-reel players please? Is it used as a delay or something?
@@deniszarubin2920 I used it for subtle saturation, warmth and texture to the recordings.

Thanks for your reply, but how do u create sequences? Are they generative?
are you using midi or a DAW in any way here? or are the sequences programmed into the machines themselves? Love listening to your pieces...
Very nice! Could you please share what's your reverb/delay processor unit?
Thank you! For this piece I used the following: Chase Bliss MOOD, Eventide Space, Roland RE-201 Space Echo.

Yes I do! :)
