Always amuses me when I see amateurs driving a forklift, but then I remember that i was an amateur 40+ years ago, and everyone starts somewhere! You did well, considering you're not used to operating one. As you say, you can drive just about anything, and that certainly helps. Next time - seat belt, and keep the customer out of the way! Good job!
Surprised that truck driver didn't give you heck for digging those forks into his step-deck the way you did. If you run your forks all the way in until the guard is sitting agains the pallet, you will find the machine will be much more controllable because it will put more of the weight on the rear tires of the forklift by decreasing your moment arm.
I didn’t expect the client to jump on the back, the forklift was a 6k lb max lift. The stone weighed in around 4500 so it wasn’t going to ever tip the machine or go anywhere. Everyone was just a little too nervous
This is was the homeowner and i had a feeling something was going to happen so that’s why i was recording. I told him immediately to get off but he insisted.

Thank you! I’m sure I’ll rent one again for a job in the future!

Everyone was worried about the rock being pushed against the forks but i get what you’re saying. Thank you for the input
Hawks and Ravens! Dude that customer was up your ass.
Lmao ya it was a pretty tense situation , Took a lot longer than it should have.
The second that the load clears the trailer, you need to drop it down close to the ground, climbing on the back of a forklift is a BAD idea

Great job but the customer shouldn’t be in the way when the fork lift is moving, great patience CJ !
Thank you
Guy got killed at our shop riding the back of forklift as counter weight. I'm 100% sure ohs there wouldn't be to keen on it
