  • Yugank Goyal, Associate Professor of Public Policy at FLAME University, shares his thoughts on India's higher education sector. He highlights the contrast between the decline in the quality of instruction and research in universities and the growing competition for their seats. He proposes regulations that incentivize the university's management to recruit high-quality faculty. According to him, this would allow "well-meaning" private universities to emerge.

On the bit about a university is good only if its founders have a different business, It makes no sense.
We would never make such an argument about any other business, i.e. this business that sells apples is good only if the seller has some other business.
