2003. And worth the wait! And this is me, Scott. Yacht Maestro because I used to drive The Land Yacht, a rather unique taxi in Austin, Texas. You can see me (and The Yacht) by searching for "Thrillist - The Land Yacht - Austin, TX"
2003 is when it came out beautiful song love good classic country had forgotten about Jimmy he had some good songs this came out when was an over the road tricker w hubby thanks for the memories 🙏♥️🇺🇸✝️
Thanks Yachtmaestro for this morning selection. Jimmy is a North Carolina guy. He got his start in the music biz working as a staff writer for Acuff-Rose records. He wrote "Put Your Hand In Mine" for Tracy Byrd. This was Jimmy' 2003 debut single, on Dreamworks records. Jimmy co-wrote this song with Billy Kirch. In an interview on CMT, Jimmy said he was inspired to write this song after talking to his sister about her relationship and she said "Everything would be a better if my husband would just stay gone". No Don, I didn't interview him, he is too young (born in '72) 😄😄 I hear a lot of Steven Curtis Chapman in this song. Thanks for your reaction to the song.
Jimmy has a really good voice. This is a great song as well. My sister saw him back in the day around the time this came out and said he was great to meet and was great performing live.
I got the perfect Christmas song from Jimmy Wayne called "Paper Angels " the song was turn into a book then into a made for TV movie of the same name , I would love to see your reaction to it, especially with Christmas right around the corner.
Great song. Excellent voice. Don't remember this song. When I saw the title, I thought of Ronna Reeves. She had a song called "Staying Gone" in the early 90's. Really powerful tune.
Hey Don can you please react to Zach Tops rendition of Hard Candy Christmas?! You’ve reacted to dollys around 2 years ago but Zach puts a good twist on it.

This was one of the songs that got me through the end of my 28 yr marriage. Great review as usual.
