    Justin Fields, Sam Darnold , Geno Smith and Baker Mayfield. Just goes to show that no matter how good or how much promise one of these young guys has it takes some time and seasoning to learn the pro game.

    I think the bigger issue is just that Chicago is not a place that ever has good QBs, and there's a reason for that. It's no coincidence that their quarterback history is so poor. They're a consistently poorly run and poorly coached franchise that has no ability to develop QBs well. The only thing they're good at is making a good defense and decent running game, but this year it seems like both of those are in question. Which is extremely noticeable when you have a rookie QB.
    There is absolutely no reason that Caleb Williams in his rookie year should have to throw 52 times in any game.

    no regrets over getting Caleb Williams. Caleb is a way better natural passer who will just need to work on not getting picked off but that’s expected from any normal rookie where the D actually tries hard. I feel that Ds are playing Caleb harder than any other rookie because who he is and the hype.

    Caleb had a lot of sacks in college as did Fields. Still a lot of that for CWs was holding onto the ball too long. I do think he has a better sense of the pass rush than Justin has. But so far he looks overwhelmed and it has seemed to disconnect that radar of impending danger. If he does have a better sense of pressure and sacks and in time he’ll tap back into it he can still be successful in the league. But if it’s poor like Justin’s then they’ll both always be limited in what they can do despite their tremendous talents. Look at Mahomes or CJ Stroud they just absolutely sense that pressure and get moving. Same with Brady his radar for pressure was unreal.

    • @mrnst7
      @mrnst7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah It is crazy how JF is feeling the pressure so much better with the Steelers. It really is Arthur Smith giving him RPO options and check downs so he doesnt have to panic about reading the defense as much. They are catering more to his strengths. I really hope It continues and he shows positive growth. He has a hell of an arm on him. Watching him way more close than ever before I will admit, but if he looked like this in Chicago he would still be their starting QB.
