      One of my favorite lines from any movie ever. Sadly, I've felt a sincere and genuine connection to that line ever since I first watched this movie with my older brother when I was just 13 years old back in 1999. I didn't understand a lot about the movie back then, but I understood the loneliness he felt and the loneliness that was portrayed in ao many different ways throughout this classic film. It's still one of my favorite movies to this day.

    Modernity has created A LOT of Travis's.

      Are you talking about this decade or last 50 years? Imagine how many marginalized people existed back in the 70s. They didn't have internet to tell about their worries.

      @@HardHustler956The internet is the most toxic place to find people to talk to. It’s not the same. Human’s aren’t meant to try to connect from long distances, that goes against the very fabric of the human connection as it was created and intended to be and we have destroyed that in less than a century. The current society is not sustainable and lonely individuals such as myself that uses soulless means to escape from reality will not tolerate this madness. A world that hates masculine men.

      You mean some men can't force women to be with them via laws prohibiting women from financial independence and divorce??
      Aaaa, yeah. That's good.
      Would you like to be forced to be with a 50 year old obese woman who showers once a week, just because she's lonely???
      Modernity hasn't created anything. It's a relatively free dating market and so some men and some women too will not find a partner.

    I’ve been on my own for 13 years now, I have no friends, people don’t really believe that I don’t have friends and seem like you must have 1. But if I’m honest I don’t want one, maybe because I’ve been alone too long.or because I suffer with extreme depression. But that’s not the reason why I have no friends

      @@FloridaManNapalm you think I haven’t heard that before? Or cheer up it may never happen. I’ve heard them all, the quick fix solutions. Until you walk a mile in someone’s shoes you have no idea. Just go out and make some friends, just realize and think deeply about that comment. If it was easy don’t you think I would try it.i say all that with love because I understand you don’t know what you’re saying. I truly hope that you are well and your family because they are important. I’ve always got Jesus and hope you have. Peace

      @jaw1970 ...I have walked that mile in your shoes and then about a hundred more. I was recently hospitalized briefly during a major depressive episode. Isolation was damaging over time, and I wouldn't face it. I thought I was tough...."You talkin' to me?" But loneliness was tougher. I am now in an intensive outpatient therapy program and reconnecting with the world around me through community service. My life is still a little bleak, but at least I'm working on some personal growth. Don't give up on humanity just to protect yourself. It just backfires in your face eventually.

    Despite what people think or feel about loneliness, It's a fact in our life and we can't deny it. In this life, You are born lonely and eventually you will die lonely, no matter how much people are around you or how fulfilled you become by having people around you, You will die on your own.

    • @Besh0-zn6hu
      @Besh0-zn6hu หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@patriciacrowley1103 Well, I don't know about that honestly because I don't have a family right now and wouldn't start one with the world going to sh**, But if you mean a family like parents and cousins or something, not to be rude but it's more likely that our parents will pass away before us. A family (wife & children, parents) might make the person more happy but that doesn't change the fact that we all are going to die lonely even if we have a family around.
