In this episode we inbox a Springfield 1911 from Springfield Armory. Please comment, like the video and subscribe if you want to see more! Thank you for watching!
I got the mil spec last year, and changed all of the serrated parts with checkered pattern parts. Changed mag release, slide sotop, thumb safety, and mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Put in a wide spur checkered hammer, and dropped in a black barrel bushing.
Just recently purchased the same 1911 & love it ! Replaced the stainless barrel bushing with a Colt Gold Cup matte blue barrel bushing from Midway & it fits perfectly !
Bought the Springfield 1911 A1 Mil Spec with crossed cannons on the grip, love it. This gun is accurate and very reliable us it as my EDC of choice, good luck nice choice !!
I have the same gun sitting right on my nightstand. Runs flawlessly and I carry it in the wintertime or depending on what I am wearing. It loves to eat Federal, Winchester, 230 hard ball. Thank you for sharing your video!
I have a HK USP45 Tactical. 12+1 capacity with threaded barrel. I have a SWR suppressor that makes it sound like a nail gun pop. Accurate as all get out. I have a 9in paper plate hanging in my garage and put 8 rounds in it from 25 yards. I only had 8 rounds in the magazine at the time.
Awesome I need to get myself one of those. Be on the lookout for some more very, very cool firearm videos on some I am about to feature. I don’t know why I have waited to do these but it’s about time I think.
Other TH-camrs have torture test this same exact gun. One guy in particular tossed it in muddy swamp water, let it sit for about 15-20 seconds then picked it up and it ran like a clock.
Most glaring thing is the slanted serrations. Should be straight up and down on a 1911. And that’s the first thing anyone’s eyes go would straight to. That the serrations aren’t right. I hate slanted serrations. A 1911 should have straight up and down serrations at the back of the slide.
I am a 15 year old and I have been doing a lot of stuff as in going to get my permit, getting my license papers early and checking out jobs and careers. After seeing this video and a bunch of gun videos I never really was into guns except stupid minded things as in shooting games or getting bb guns but should I get into guns? When I turn 18 should I get a fire arm for self defense?
Thank you for watching! Yes! It is completely ok to get into guns but different states (countries) have different laws on firearms. I would absolutely follow those but if you are interested in guns, go for it! Classes never hurt. The more you know about gun safety the better but remember you are the one controlling the weapon so you are the absolute biggest safety issue. Always make sure you treat every weapon like it is loaded and live. I would definitely take as many classes as you can. It is a fun hobby and can get expensive but you learn a lot of history as well which is a plus!
@@HistorySavior1941 they have really gone up, I'm paying $750.00 out the door for the stainless one, so almost $700.00,they are typically about $50.00 more than blued ones.

I got one too, but where can I get all those parts, so I can make my Mil Spec like a WW2 version?

I saw Garand Thumb do something similar. I have seen a few of those but didn’t realize it was this same gun.
One of my favs!
Thank you so much as always. It’s definitely my fav and happy I finally have one!
@@HistorySavior1941 👍
Grinds my gears, that Springfield puts “SINCE 1794” on their stuff, when they’re not at all the same company.
I completely agree with that! It does wind me up some as well. I appreciate the the thought but your right it’s not the same company as it was then.
Dan Reese brought the name and blueprints to keep name same goes for CZ brought Colt to keep name continue to carry but not the same .
It's al about the name dude. And u can blame them cause they do put out real good guns like the call original Springfield Armory
A fair nod to the GI pistols of WW2. Many things could have been done better to be a closer clone tho.
Awesome video History
I bought that same gun. I really like it
Awesome I actually have not shot this one yet and can’t wait! Thanks for watching and hope to see more comments from you!

I agree…I wish they would have also had up and down serrations. Hopefully they fix this on the new ones!
very very nice
Thank you Kahlest as always. 😁
Nice! ❤️😎👍
I love mine.
Me too! They are the best!

Yes. Follow your interests.
Not sure about your state, but most states require you to be 21.
Yes.
Very nice!
Thanks Art and Nina. Art knows a thing or two about this weapon!
If i could put this gun back together without wanting to kill myself I'd get another. Such bootifulness.
Just got mine 10 days ago must oil first b4 firing
Adding a extended Tail, & a white dot tridium! That's fine for now. Later on after Christmas.
All my 1911s run best when well oiled.
Why did you take the red chamber flag out so we could see the gun?
@@wwjd8833 I don’t really have an answer for that.
Wish the grips had diamonds!
Grips are available and cheap. Hundreds of styles and patterns.
How much?I'm looking at a stainless steel one.
It runs about $600

Yea they have shot way up in price. It’s getting really bad.
I just bought a nearly new stainless model for $500.00.
Gunbroker is your best place for a low price.
