I just started my training arc today the correct way, according to Hooj’s requirements. Mechs, DM’s and Ranked Games. Along with the Aimlabs routine as well. I’m so excited to stay consistent and enjoy the process. Gl to everyone that does the same!
I've been doing that stuff for about two weeks now and I can say it helps a lot, I top fragged a plat lobby as a gold last week and I was low silver before that.
In the last two weeks, I went from 15% HS accuracy to 20%. I haven't ranked up from bronze 2 yet, but I am consistently improving. Clutching more, lurking more efficiently, holding sites stronger, and just surviving rounds more often. Every bit of it is thanks to this banana. I'm even occasionally being called a smurf. Feels good.
Here after losing a 20 - 18 match dropping 47 on KJ on Ascent... My team (me included threw sooooooo many rounds) I have submitted the VOD in the server hopefully it gets selected one day

I have the same exact problem, trying to mid-game IGL on soloQ, and my eyes keep looking at the minimap, or I'll be talking when an enemy peeks, and my aim and reaction suffers because of it. I might try to play an agent that is a bit more self-sustaining and just focus on fragging...
Hello woohoojin and commenters I have a weird theory/question, does input delay desync actually matter more than actual input delay? what I mean by this is I had a old yee yee ass keyboard with like 30ms delay but a really good mouse with standard ~1ms delay and I had a really bad habit where I would shoot before I stopped in the game completely, but now after like 2 weeks with a new ~1ms keyboard that problem barely happens anymore (THIS IS NOT ME COPING MY SKILLS I JUST WANNA KNOW WHAT OTHERS THINK IF KEYBOARDS MATTER AS MUCH AS IM BEGINNING TO REALIZE THEY DO)
@woohoojin can you explain further about the eco, 2nd round. I also wouldn’t say it is wrong to go as 5 to a site and push it. Having 1 lurk for a tp makes sense but has to play super passive and if the team pushes its a free kill for the enemy. Struggling to understand. I would not do this guys play either though.
Well I mean it’s an eco vs anti-eco, so your team is already at a disadvantage, this play is essentially to find an enemy’s weak spot and using it to either do enough economic dmg or potentially win the round (a gamble play). The reason you would have cypher cam a short and lurk showers is to gather info for your team, even if u die first because they 3-man push showers it gives info to your team to work with. It’s why you play super passive if you’re the one lurking Example: You (cypher) walk close to the left wall towards shower and wait a few secs when the round starts, you hear two ppl stomping in showers, 1 grabs orb, then they go quiet. U quickly cam to check A short and u see skye dogging through tp to check hookah. By simply hiding, cam checking, and using your ears you found out they have 3 on A, which u can then comm to your team to rush B.
When you’re in eco, your best chance at doing the most damage/thrifty is to do crazy shit, if you play your ecos like a gun round (ie. “Defaulting” with no real execute, playing for picks, 5-man bum rush) you will most likely lose every single time unless you’re playing against a really dumb team
@@Mystic_1452 i mean the call wooj is calling is what you could do with guns mire safely right? In my head i know it is very unlikely to win the round so id want people to play slow then tripple peek angles or to play through funky smokes just to get a plant. But the only way you win a eco round is if your team is misplaying in the first place
@@jesterv7777 I mean u could probably pull it off but imo there are much better strats u can call when u have guns. It's a bit harder to lurk on buy rounds if the rest of your team is playing slow, most of the time your team needs to act like theyre actually executing that site in order for the lurker to get any real value. In eco/save it works to stack up, play slow and do weird plays like this bc again, win or lose u will be able to buy next round, and it's almost always better to pair weaker guns vs 1 strong gun than it is to split up and try to fight that 1 strong gun solo. The reason cypher lurks in this situation is mainly due to how the map is and his util. It's completely different in half buys and full buys bc u WANT/NEED to win those rounds as easily as possible, by easy I mean having at least 2-3 ppl alive by the end of it so you can start snowballing. If u manage to win a crazy gamble save/eco round and win the next round it's ggez most of the time unless u start throwing

I think 500ms is the speed at which most people eact to something they aren't 100% focussed on. Like they knew it might happen, they were expecting it, but they aren't ready for it. 300ms is probably reasonable for holding an angle. If you're swinging and know roughly when and enemy will be on your screen, you'll be even faster
I've measured myself by counting frames and this is pretty much my experience. It's always 20 frames when I'm holding an angle/peeking and 30 when I get spooked.
