This was a joke. I take books and the written word very seriously. I would never throw away a book that someone else would find value in. A lot of people like 4E and I made sure that that book went to someone who wanted it. If a book is badly damaged / nobody wants it than I recycle, I would never throw away a book.
Mage Knight stuff is always great and cheaper than official plus it adds mystery because if a player sees you pull out an official mini they might know what it is but unofficial stuff leaves it mysterious.
Ideas. The crown, just red cushion and a nice gold chef's kiss. Doesn't even need to be a quest thing. The one with the gols pouch. Make some coin golems with a smaller hole punch, take an army man or some other cheap posed toy, glue various layers. Paint the cereal box gold, and copper to save some time later. The one wing, can make an aarakocra, maybe cut it up and add as bits of feathers sticking out on a model, maybe a mohawk like thing, etc could be fun to play with the race on a model. The floors and doors, could be prime for recast after taking 4 to improve the attachment points prior to making molds. Make the mold like a dice cap mold Some gun stuff to play with and experiment and learn
Goodwill clearance center is my favorite thrift spot to hit and I've been hitting them for years. I have found so much stuff I never expected to actually see in real life in the past. Since I got into tabletop gaming I'm constantly on the hunt for things to modify for the game. I love videos about your finds!
Whoa! That haul is really awesome! Obviously not top of the line stuff, but gosh for that price... You definitely got some interesting stuff! Great video
I have that skull ice cube tray and one that is brains. I used them to make mini bases with hot glue. It worked great. I will post photos to the Tabletop Crafters Guild FB page.
Great haul! I am going to have to pop across the state line one day to see if I can have any luck. I strike out constantly in the Metrowest Savers looking for things like this.
lol. Loved the 4E skit. The Mage Knight stuff was amazing, but I am really intrigued by those Game of Thrones game pieces. The sight of those gave me immediate ideas and inspiration!
@@orinanime Each of these could present different trials or halls in which to explore. Perhaps at the end of each, they find a part of a key or clue to solve a puzzle. The gauntlet is one of might, the book represents knowledge, the sword loyalty, the crown leadership and the world nature.
@@Blandco You bet, my friend. I always enjoy seeing the cool things you find. And... Awww yeah, that room trial idea could be fun. Especially with those minis!
Jealous about the MK tiles. I always wanted it way back when they were first out, but being a new parent, money had to go elsewhere. I now have the Dungeons and Lasers stuff, which I think it better.
Again wish we had that kinda goodwill here in Aus. Ours just have basically crap...nothing even remotely usable for D&D. Am jealous lol. Interesting vids though...worthy of a sub :)
I recently went to our by the pound store and got ripped off. My bag couldn't have weighed more than 15lbs and at, supposedly, $0.25 a pound I ended up paying $21.
Interesting haul my favorites were the Mage Knight stuff and the GOT game pieces. What is the typical size of Mage Knight stuff is it around 2 inches? Just curious cause I might be able to use stuff from them for my Mega Construx custom Knight figures.
Mage Knight minis varies in size wildly. It's wizkids so most of it is pretty closes to 28 MM heroic. The tiles are around 4 inches but have all the tabs and holes for walls.
Goodwill by the pound is where they sell stuff by the pound that they couldn't sell or decided not to try to sell. It's usually a large space with large bins filled with random stuff.
As always entertaining video. I went out and got a couple bags of the skeletons thanks for the heads up 🤓 The MK 3D dungeon tiles came out 15’ish years before dungeons and lasers🤓 If ya end up not using/wanting them there are a couple MK groups on Facebook that are fiending for em. Ppl bag on 4th Ed bit I found it to be a great campaign skirmish Wargame system 😅
I have a hard time believing you find all this good stuff at goodwill and thrift stores. When i go to one its all old bs bric-a-brac not suitable for anything. Meanwhile youre finding miniatures and stuff for d&d by the truckload. Do some livestreams into your stores sometime. The stuff you find is too good to be true
Ha! I haven't found anything good at the local goodwill store hardly at all in the last few years, only books really. It's only at the Goodwill by the pound. I spend time going there when they put out new stuff. Trust me. It's just that I live near a population center and I spend a lot of time going there. Every single thing in these videos was gotten there except for the books. I do a loop of 4 thrift stores when I take the trip.
usually I find your video's entertaining, but I don't understand why, not only did you dog on 4th edition but had to put the book in the bin, I feel that was a bit of a d**k move.
Was that a joke because if that wasn't a joke I can't watch you anymore for throwing out that book

That is why I love Dreamblade stuff! Nobody knows what those things are.
A yes one of the classic fantasy archetypes tank.
Awesome haul! 1/2 that amount of Mage Knight tiles is over £100 in the UK.
Woah really? I really lucked out!
I love that you find these things.
I also hate that you find these things. MY good will sucks.
Same.
Nice score!

Ive clipped heroclix off there old bases and glued them to standard dnd 1 inch bases and they look great

I'd take that book. Looks nice.
