Poi Dog Pondering shaped a large bit of what my twenty year old self thought was beautiful and true. Hearing this again brings waves of memory and delight.
Oh my gosh - so much time has passed. I first saw PDP open for Robyn Hitchcock in 1989 and saw them every time they played in NYC thereafter. Ted, Susan Frank and David. We've all grown up and made magic.
Wow. I've been listening to this on CD for years and thought it was fantastic. The wine behind them really evokes the improvement and mellowing of these musicians. The flavors are so much more complex and mellow. I like to go back and forth between the CD for nostalgic energy and this for the beauty. Pulling Touch has always been one of my favorites.
1989 Mexico City's Rock 101 and that was the first time I listened "Pulling Touch" my first experience with PDP, since then I've been a fan of Frank Orrall and co. Love you guys!
