    I love that this demo is using a used version vs. a brand new shiny demo-only model. It's great to be able to see how it ages/seasons.

    presenter's dry sense of humor was appreciated. also i question the manhood of anyone afraid of firepit grease flareups

    Thanks for the tips. I've been meaning to use my Breeo and searing more, but was a bit hesitant after burning a few things. My fire was too hot when I tried previously. I look forward to utilizing this feature of the Breeo more in the days to come.

    Question: what is the recommended max thickness of steaks or pork chops?

    • @breeocontact4397

      It all depends on the desired cut of meat and flavor!

    It would be nice if there's a "food stopper" around the inside ring of the sear plate to keep foods from accidentally falling over into the fire. Maybe a stainless steel rod that is welded 4-8 even spaces and about 1/4" above the inside ring of the sear plate. Or maybe the inside ring will have a flange with holes where it bends up to still allow oils to flow while keeping foods from falling over.

    • @jamieg1637
      @jamieg1637 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He addressed that by using a cast iron pan but I see what you mean

    • @ElijahLynn
      @ElijahLynn 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wonder about using a little 1/4" thick length of steel place that is clamped on the inside of the ring with all-steel clamps. I haven't tried the sear ring on ours just yet, so maybe it is just a matter of losing a few items before learning how to use it right.

      Like a rain gutter with a lip for grease. You could direct the grease so you don’t get flare ups all over

    Man you’re making me second guess my solo stove.

    • @danieldotter6077
      @danieldotter6077 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s so much better than the solo. Even their cheapest one, the Double Flame 19 is only $24 more all said and done and is 19 inches vs the 14 inch solo. Also, the Breeo is 100% made in USA. It’s well above the quality of the Chinese made solo.

      Solo is a good concept kinda but pound for pound Breeo takes the cake plus Solo is made in China 👎

    My question is , will it always get all black like this? I like the design but want it to stay modern looking.

    • @FoereaperGaming
      @FoereaperGaming 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont have one but all metals will discolor. They can be made shiny again with a little bit of rubbing from a scotch bright pad or worse come to worse steel wool. There is also stainless steel polish that works quite well to shine things. Although I would clean it well before putting food on it again.

    I can see everything getting quickly seared, which is fine for things like bacon, but when it comes to pork, steak and even burgers, they are probably not cooked on the inside. You'd have to burn the outside before the inside is cooked enough. That's why it's a seer plate and not a cook plate.

    Not worth cooking on if your cooking for more than 2-3 people. Great smokeless campfire!

  • @mistuhjawknee5505
    @mistuhjawknee5505 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    i love the fire pit but the sear plate seems like 110% gimmick to me. seems easier to just bring a pan, then you don't need to cook with fire gloves on. the plate doesn't cook evenly, it just seems cool for the first few times and then not worth the hassle. i hope you continue to make GREAT quality fire pits without the cooking gimmick.

    • @breeocontact4397
      @breeocontact4397 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We appreciate the feedback! We understand that the Sear Plate isn't for everyone. Each person has their own style for cooking over the fire, some like the option of the added cooking space while others prefer a good old-fashioned skillet. As long as you're enjoying your fire pit and the experience of cooking over it, that's all that matters to us!

    I just ordered one of these. I haven't even unboxed it yet, and my wife says I shouldn't have bought it. Well, this fire pit just became a "NO GIRLS ALLOWED" fire pit, and she can sit by hers with smoke in her face and watch me grill a steak on the Breeo.

    thumbs down for using pre-cooked shrimp, why not hire an actual cook to do a cooking demo?
