I enjoyed your video as my D50 died and I'm looking at getting a D40 or A D3200 secondhand . I'm getting it for wildlife photography .Not sure which to go for yet but your video helped .
Hi Nick, I was very surprised to hear you say that you use the D50 the most!! I figured it would be the D5100 but am glad that the D50 is getting some good use! I agree the D40 three focus points are a pain but that makes the photographer think about the shot. I always liked the D40 for the landscape and sunrise/sunset colors. Best wishes Duane
It really is a great landscape camera! I talk about that in my 2022 update, it's out this week or next. The d5100 I use almost as much as the d50, but there is something about the simplicity of the d50 I love!
This does give me hope for my d50 I struggle in low light all the time, will a lense upgrade help? Currently have a 28-80 & a 70-300 which I presume it came with? it's my dad's old camera so have very little info as he's passed back in 2019...
I would look at getting a faster lens and a speed light, it isn't great for low light as it has an extremely limited iso 200-1600 I think and it's super noisy at like 600 iso. I'd recommend a fast prime think 35 or 50mm f1.8 and a tripod, that will take you a long way
Oh snap Nick! Looking good!!!! Keep up the great work!
Thank you!!! It's definitely a ton of fun!!!
Great video Nick! Loved the images captured. Was a in depth review and was an interesting watch. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! It's totally a new style for me, I usually don't leave in the directions towards the model and stuff!
Love the D5100. Used if for all my TH-cam videos. Kinda crazy you can get it new old stock for 150 USD.
Right??? It's such a fantastic little camera!!!
Really enjoyed behind the scenes on this video! This is a perfect representation that a good lens goes a long way and budget camera bodies rock!
They ret do! Nothing wrong with an older camera body a decent lens, they really will go a long way!
love that rucksack!
Oh yeah! The leak design has served me so well, I have some pins from Alaska to out on it still, that was my first trip with it
Some great info!!
Thank you!!!
Interesting vlog to see your work and thought process when doing portrait photography! Cool video bro 😁
Thanks! It was definitely a new format for me, one I think I'm going to keep!
Shout out to King Iso! Great video
Lol thanks!!!

I'm glad it found a great home!! I think the D40's color spoiled me and the D50's color seemed kinda bland.
I could totally see how that would do that! Lol that cc'd sensor is stunning

My D60 is supposed to have a CCD sensor also
From my understanding it does! Looking at a d600 and a z6 currently
