Each library seems to touch me in different places, and this was no exception. I had watched a video that Owen (the gentleman behind designing the Kontakt interface for this library) had posted of his mother playing What Wondrous Love Is This, and during the live stream something clicked that took me right there.
Even though these are digital representations, the code carries with it a part of each one involved in bringing it to us. I do not know exactly how all of that works, but I know that when a library is done right the soul and essence of it comes through in very profound ways.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support, it means so much and gives me inspiration to embark on future Joyful Journeys.

Love all the library reviews you do. Always go over everything we all need to know about. Brilliant playing as ever.
Now, here is one thing... I don't think I have ever seen a video where you straight up just dont like a plugin or library! Do you happen to just get lucky and choose all the good ones and have no gripes with them? Perhaps I need to go watch more videos and fine the ones you start to smash up your controller because it is just so bad :P
I guess you are just super positive and find the good in everything, which to be honest is great. Stil, I would love to see a short where you load something up , play a couple of chords and just stop, move on to the next one :)

Hello Bob, I think it is a combination of things. I try to stay in the loop with most developers mainly how everyone else does through emails, forums and such, so I am always on the lookout for things that I feel my viewers want to see on the channel. If I do run into something where I can’t wrap my head around it or it might not be a good fit for me then I might let it pass.
There are occasions where I will feature an instrument that might be outside of my comfort zone in order to stretch myself and be open to new approaches and ideas.
Also, in every case I want to find the good in things even if my initial experience might not be the best. I believe in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. The fact is that some instruments will resonate more than others, and some viewers will connect and it will be a miss with others. Each of us have varying styles and sensibilities and I keep that in mind.
I have never been instructed by a developer on what to say or how to present an instrument, and since most of my initial impressions are during livestreams they have no idea or input on what I might say.
I want to be a trusted source and a help to the community at large because at the end of the day the most valuable possession anyone can have is their own personal integrity and having the confidence of others.
Thanks so much for your support, I appreciate the feedback as it will help me become more adept in taking future Joyful Journeys together. Joyfully!🎹

@@PraiseTracks This is all what I ecxpected, and for sure appreciate. It is infact refreshing to watch and hear someone go over and explore some new instruments and not completely pick them apart. I guess I have been sucked too much into the review algorithms of negative space, that this is now what I expect when watching.
It is refreshing like I said to see you actually seem genuine and happy to explore and enjoy what you are doing. And it really helps to reduce the negativety you sometimes get watching others talk down or poke holes in software you may or may be thinking abut using. I can sometimes find the creativity inside dry up when you see stuff like that.
I guess what I will say now is just keep it up. I will be following along for sure to get a more realistic impression of what future softwares and librarys will actually sound and feel like.
Keep on going and push yourself always!

might THIS finally be the tool i’ve been looking for? that plays in with so much realism especially when you let go? or just another 100 i’m going to blow and find once again it’s me… that part at 16:25 i don’t see any faders being used just velocity and i assume the sustain pedal? i want that. it reminds me so much of the original Julie Covington don’t cry for me, Argentina recording. 18:48 almost the same opening chord.

This library is outstanding. It really comes into its own when you use an expression and dynamics controller at the same time. The only annoying thing is my midi controller keyboard has its sliders on the right side! Looking for a decent midi slider box like the one Dan uses but sadly that one is out of production. You need really smooth long throw faders to get the best from it.

    • @PraiseTracks
      @PraiseTracks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes, the long throw faders give you so much more delicate control. I did find this one, it might work:
