Momagers only work when the kid is in high demand and are just hangers on when they aren't in demand. (See Dina Lohan and Jaid Barrymore for prime examples of this.) I don't think Eileen should out and out fire Lourdes but they need an advisor with connections and experience.

Yh, I don't know if it's the producers trying to go with the "Uva influence" narrative or if that's just how things go. Last season Lourdes mentioned that Uva left home really young and moved to the other side of the country so you can tell she's the 'free' sister, so maybe the producers are trying to go with the storyline that Uva is trying to get the kids to break free from their parents' influence

I also never said that her mom didn't get her to where she is right now or undermine her in any way so watch your tone. Eileen and her Tia's said themselves that her mom has other projects going on and that her mom hasn't helped her with any of her bookings for a while. Eileen's been doing it on her own. We may love and appreciate our parents but sometimes we need to grow and do things without them and accept help from different people. Of course, nobody is going to have her back the way her mom does but there are other managers out there who will be able to support her and organize her schedule in the way she needs right now which she feels she's not getting from her mother. Nothing but positivity can come from this situation. Either Eileen finds someone she works well with OR she realizes she won't find a better manager than her mom and they go back to working together stronger than ever. Also, keep in mind its a tv show. This episode reminded me a lot of when Kim K was going to "fire" her mom as her manager....and ultimately she decided to keep her. My opinion still is for her to try something new. Learn how to accept other people's opinions.
