I am thankful to have these videos of my son, Jimmy rowing. His first raft trip was at four and he learned to row from some of the best. I have gratitude for the days we had on the river . He had an effortless, distinctive style that was all his own. He and I spent 16 days on a private on Colorado in 2017 with his 13.4 foot purple Sotar. One of my best memories. A heart to big for this world. He passed away 5/17 2021 from an unintentional drug overdose. What a waste.
THanks David! last year it was so bony in September i was able to go right on big mallard after catching a bunch of back eddies in the entry rocks. The little shoot in the middle of elkhorn is still doable but inches on either side, thought for sure i was going to get stuck. Man it rained not stop that trip. Lost of me and Snapper snuggled up in a ball in my tent LOL!
naw my sister lives in Portland and comes with us. its a crazy long shuttle, 400$ from salmon. but I go all over the country and do the 20 hours to the Colorado each year. its a great river for intermediate rafting. you got to do it!!
@@gamer20kool14 hahahahaha omg yeah that would be a haul. man i got see that country. went school in boston. my mom did summer camps there growing up. I want to raft all 50 states and make a little book about it. got 14 now. that was funny lol
Great to see the character of the Main at such low flows again. It's been a while since I've been on it at that level. Just an observation: @ 4:23 it is Devil's teeth- not Little Devils teeth
Its a 13 1/2 custom solar liquid with 23 inch tubes tapered to 16 inches in the front. the frame is DRE. they do Colorado frames but I had them do a custom one for my little boat and now they do it for all boats. spent years on my boat. my car sucks because all my money gos in my boat. taken it down the Colorado, Selway in really high water and it really performs good. check out my other videos and you will see tons of it. have a 14 foot solar cat and love that too but this is my baby. its a corvette while my maravia is a tank. really look into solar. im making a 18 footer right now. any other questions on oars, tables seats let me know. I want to marry my boat
did loose another beer. I assure you I saved it afterwords or would if I could. all about keeping my favorite place in prescribe condition, unlike the commercial trips I worked on for years.
@@MrWils25 i dont drink so probably a sprite of pepsi helmet would work good. check out 6:54 i found a old chub in the roccks on the colorado. the currenrt was alot faster than it looked but saved it and my buddies were pumped because they were running low. see ya on the river budday! th-cam.com/video/rpkaOh_pcAM/w-d-xo.html

Thanks the music is part of a meditation album I did. All electric guitar tho it sounds like something else
That's so awesome that you had that experience with your dog! Big up bro!
Chris, thank you for this video, it is fun to watch you and Snapper on the water. David.
Nicely done! Looks a little bit bony at that level, but still a fun trip. Snapper looks like a pretty happy hound.
