I love the way Plutonia looks and I think they did a fantastic job on having that style of Plutonia. I also love the music it weirdly fits Doom. I can tell this is going to be one of my top favorite playthroughs along with Sunlust.
Me too, kinda. But I shrugged off fearful cheating in my teens in favour of the feel of challenge, so I watch decino to see how a master approaches these. So far he's revealed several faults of mine when playing, to the point where I got gud at Doom more from watching him than from playing Sunlust.
There's an element of that I did too. Eventually grew out of it for the Vanilla series of maps but seeing what devoted DooM players have created goes to show just how complex, challenging, and yet engaging the basic elements of DooM can be when arranged in unique ways
If there is one thing I truly love about Plutonia 2 is how masterfully they nailed down that "old military base in the jungle" atmosphere of the first third of the Wad. The first 5 or so jungle levels of the original Plutonia are my favorites of that wad even if they are the easiest because that setting is so unique in Doom.
