hi, it was indeed hazardous to swim at this flow but regarding the left bank, it's quite accessible (most of the time). There is a bicycle lane following the river all the way. Also, there are no massive holes hidden behind waves.
hehe, there were some eddies, at least 3. As long as you are in the right line, it is quite smooth and effortless. Take the wrong line and you will feel the burn.
