Hi! Thanks for making such an informative and helpful video about the Columbia Trinity BA Program. I'm not sure whether to submit my SAT scores, so I was wondering if you knew the average SAT scores or lowest required scores for this program in the past. Because of Covid and the test-optional policy this year it's been difficult to find info on this. Thanks again!

I am afraid I can't tell you what would be considered the lowest required SAT scores for the program, but I do know that the majority of people accepted for the Class of 24 had an SAT between 1400 and 1600.

This link should give you more information on the acceptance statistics for the Class of 24.

I;m not sure what you mean by the passing grades in English, maths etc. since I did A levels and my A level subjects were biology, chemistry and geography. So would the English and maths requirements come from GCSEs?

Hi! I know that you aren’t from Ireland, but do you know if the junior certificate results are very important to get into the dual BA, it says on the website that they are nesecsary, but I was just wondering if you were in touch with any Irish students in the program that you could ask :)

I'm afraid I really don't know, and I know that due to Covid-19, the admissions have changed the process since last year. I would email the Dual BA admissions office with your question. They are super kind and helpful!

Since a lot of people deferred admission last year because of covid, would that impact the number of students that will get selected this year ?

I honestly am unsure about the impact that deferrals will have on the acceptance rate this year. I would recommend you contact the admissions office if you have any concerns.

Hiii i am a prospective student applying from India to the dual ba programme this year. Is it in any way mandatory to submit the SAT score. Will the non inclusion of it affect my admission in any way?

Hi! So for the 2022-2023 admission cycle. The Dual BA will not require you to submit the SAT or ACT due to Covid. I have copied below what the admissions office has had to say on this affecting applications.
"Since testing is no longer a required component for the first-year 2022-2023 application cycle, students who are unable or choose not to submit test scores will not be disadvantaged in the admissions process. However, if students have previously completed testing and can submit SAT or ACT results, they are welcome to do so; submitted scores will be considered as one of the elements used in the review process on their application file. The admissions committee will continue to evaluate all submitted information within the holistic and contextual review process that considers the individual circumstances shaping each applicant's journey. The rigor of a student’s curriculum, academic achievement, and demonstrated intellectual curiosity will remain central to the review of their application file."
But since you are a student applying from India, unless you are currently studying at an English language school, you will still have to complete the English testing requirements which can be found here:
