Thank you so much for doing a more detailed tutorial for us! I’ve been learning so much from your channel. I’ve been collecting for over six years and I’ve been watching so many TH-cam channels for years, but I don’t know what it is about you. It’s so easy to follow along with you. 💖
Love this video! 😄Question: so by twisting the hair around your finger and using the rerooting tool, does it make a little knot inside the head when you insert the plug? Then after boil washing, the holes shrink and that secures the hair? Can you brush the hair afterwards and not worry about losing hair, or do you brush sparingly? 😄 I’d really like to order some doll hair and do some more rerooting this way 💕
Hi Dakota! I'm new to your channel, this is the third video of yours that I watch, thank you for showing how to rehair Barbie dolls, it was very interesting to watch. 😊 When you boil wash your dolls hair, how much water do you use and for how long do you place the hair in the hot water? Kind regards, Yasmina
You are so welcome! Thank you so much for being here!! I honestly don’t measure the water at all. I just put in as much as I think I’m going to need. And I pour the hot water over the dolls head, I don’t soak them. I have a doll hair tutorial posted where I go over hair and hair types! I hope you like that one too! It’s in my doll restoration tutorials playlist!! Nice to meet you Yasmina!!:)
If I'm understanding you correctly you do reroots or repaints for others !? I have a barbie I would like someone to redo for me. She isn't in really bad shape but i want her hair to be changed and touch up her face like change the color of her lipstick. Would you do that for me ? If so what would charge me for those two things? ❤
@@ericabirchum493 yes! It does. If you look closely at your original mod dolls from 1967-1970, they’ll have brown lashes not black. You’re more than welcome! I use a hazelnut color.
@@disneybarbiegirl615 sorry just one more question. I found two different kinds of hazelnut hair. Do you use the one from restoredoll which is saran or the one from Dolly hair that is nylon?
Hello! I have my mom's old Stacey doll and she has a splash of discoloration on her face that honestly looks like the result of where you bleached the arm. Would you recommend the pastel method there as well? Do you think there's a way to fix that one spot?
i love ur personality so much omg
Why thank you:)
Today I start my 73 Quick Curl reroot so the timing of this video is awesome!! Thank you so much!
You got this! I bet it looks great!!!

It does make a little knot:) and then when you boil wash it, it kinks it up! I’ve never had an issue without using glue. :) hope that helps!
This is so much faster than my method. I knot the hair inside the scalp and it takes forever.lol

I do for a particular few doll dealers in Florida. My rates usually vary between what’s needed and asked for.:)
You said the black lashes are nylon are the brunette ones also nylon? And are you using the same hair to do the partial reroot as you used on lashes?
The ones on the later Mexico and Taiwan talkers yes. The brunette lashes could be a nylon or saran.
@@disneybarbiegirl615 have you found a brunette hair color that matches the original brunette lashes? Thanks for always answering questions?

@@ericabirchum493 I use saran from restoredoll:) it’s also good on your tnts for brunette hair, including Francie!

They should!!
What size sewing needle do you use for your reroots, you funny girl? I love you so much. Your gay male buddy from Michigan.
Embroidery needles:)
