Sir you a are a credit to the human race of model making.
Thank you
Thank you very much. I will be building a y-wing from Bandai myself soon and this will help me a lot.
Crazy details and modifications. I m speechless. Thanks.
This is so beautiful, it makes me want to weep for joy. Truly Mr. Olson, your attention to detail makes the world a better place. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you.
I love guitar string addition, I would never have thought of it.
Wow, Great work with the sound and light!
I'm going to try the masking fluid applicator for the paint chipping. Excellent video on this, it's a great reference for everyone!
Didn't expect it would have sound! thumbs up!
Very nice work on the lighting, well done
I’m very new to model building but I enjoy it a lot.
Impressive most impressive nice work u are a genius
Wow, it's definitely an impressive build. I'm a newbie in scale modeling, love details, but sometimes get anxious to see the final product too soon. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated my friend.
I put one of these together but made it Blue Squadron and weathered it a bunch.
Como dicen los italianos exquisitez saludos buen trabajo
WAUWWEE !!!!
Hello Christopher, Thank you for posting this video I've found it most informative. I would like to ask where did you purchase the Small Drill Bits you are using. Keep up the great builds and instructional videos.
Got my bits on Ebay. Lots to choose from. .25mm - 1mm
Awesome job man, I got the soundboard but now o see you can link the lights with the sound, how you do that man, I'm try to follow you best i can for my speeder
I created the sound file first and adjusted my LED flashing timing to match my audio. It's not perfect, but pretty close
Well man, yours turns out real nice, hope I don't ruin mine...
do you have a listing of all the lights and boards you used on this build?
When you fire a gun in space does the soot setting on the hull or just drift away?
Good question
What kind of black wash are you using. Black pastel with water or something else.
I use either Tamiya black or German Gray and mix myself with water.
And the water does not mix with the base paint? Or is the base paint an oil paint.
The base paint I used is Tamiya rattle can acrylic lacquer, and I do a gloss coat over my paint before applying my wash. But the water has no affect at all.
Is there a risk of the rust pastels coming off, or do they stick because of the primer?
I always spray my models with a sealer after, so it's never been an issue
@@modelsbychris what brand would the best kind be?
@@imyerpepper I use Tamiya TS-80 clear flat coat on all my models.
Can you tell me where to get the Incredible White Mask from?
Bought mine on Ebay.
Thanks
Can you share the link to the screen used Y-Wing please?
Unfortunately, I have not been able to find that link anymore. I had downloaded all of the photos to my personal computer though. I may be able to upload somewhere for use.
Christopher Olson to a Google cloud?
I'll have to look into something once I'm home in the evening and can upload.
Hey Chris, amazing build. Did you ever find or come up with a way to share the hi rez studio model pics?
@@jesseatteberry8684 Late to the party here but there are some _incredibly_ hi-res shots of a screen-used Episode IV model here:

Where did you get the photo references
Books i have, and usually just Google searches for ILM studio Model. But modelermagic.com/?p=85503 has a model reference section of photos people have submitted from exhibits and such of studio models
